@Rebecca Rankin Don Giovanni is not a tenor but a baritone part, But yes, its flexible. Hvorostovsky is a baritone but he handles the bass (Leporello) part beautifully. Though the Dona Elvira part here is sung by a soprano, it can also be sung by a mezzo, as Cecilia Bartoli superbly did for the Zurich production. In fact in imho it has never been sung any better.
dmitri does such a great job with this! Catalogo de questo! wow! a brief aside, notice "voi sapete quel che fa" 6:51 he is singing right to her p***y. of course this is all the director's doing. can't blame Dmitri on this.
