This was a great story, and very well told. It seems like you've learned a ton from that experience, and I think the conclusions you've reached about Cambridge's style not being a fit for you make a lot of sense, especially since you're doing well and happy at your school.
Im not a medic and don’t do bio but I would approach it like: A person is what, like 70% water, say a person weighs idk 70 kg, that’s 49 kg, a liter of water is 1 kg, that’s 49 ish liters???
Thats how I would go about at least. I saw a similar question that asked how many litres of blood are pumped around your body in your lifetime? thats an even more closed question.
Thank you for the story! However, I don't understand why all rejected studytubers repeat the mantra ”I'm glad I was rejected”, ” it's not a rejection, but redirection” and so on. In case you were accepted you would be obviously happy about it. It’s totally ok to admit that it's hard to be rejected
Thanks for the comment! Of course if I was accepted I would’ve been extremely happy to have been given a place at such a good university! However I truly believe that the teaching techniques at Cambridge wouldn’t have suited me and having now had experience of medical school I think the more clinical approach in the early years at Nottingham is much more what I was looking for in hindsight. I think Cambridge is more geared towards those going into medical research which isn’t really for me
Sounds like you had a pretty crap experience. Sad to hear that certain professors were quite blunt/rude. It shouldn't be like that. I was accepted into law at Cambridge and was lucky to have nice interviewers. Congratulations on getting into Medicine. It's not easy so I hope you're proud of yourself!
NaturallyMe don’t worry, if they’ve offered you an interview then they obviously see something great in you whether it be exam results or your personal statement! Good luck with your interview!!
NaturallyMe omg that’s so amazing that you got an interview!!! I only got 2 A*s as well 🥴 what course are you applying for? I’m sure you’ll be great! 😁
Wow!!! Girl 10 A*s alright, I’m a potato and I know better that your grades are outstanding! Ngl that would really break at someone’s confidence that is already fluctuating based on the interview. You are so amazing!! But honestly I felt like you might not really like the school, I’m sure your happier somewhere where it’s actually right for you and you are happy
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, I will hopefully be interviewed this winter, I'm not a medical student but very nervous! Maybe you could have broken the "amount of blood" question down: a human weighs around 60kg, humans are ~80-90% water, so ~54kg of water therefore 54kg water = 54litres? Maybe? I don't know, maybe I'm oversimplifying it. I think from what I've read they're looking for your thought processes rather than knowledge sometimes.
Yh i looked it up: It's just 60~ 70% (of water in human body) times average weight of a human (70kg) So around... 42 to 49 litres So basically you are right!
Virginia Crosbie just relaxed and tried to stay calm! You can sit in the waiting area in the college or I preferred to just wander round Cambridge and get some fresh air :)

Thank you so much! I find it very helpful even though I am actually applying to Natural scineces
Happens...You did very well. Sometimes one can´t give more than what is being asked to.

Please forgive me, but i laughed all the way through...you are so funny! I could just imagine those interviews! hahahaha
what did you do in between interviews?
Virginia Crosbie just relaxed and tried to stay calm! You can sit in the waiting area in the college or I preferred to just wander round Cambridge and get some fresh air :)
did you have to do an interniew to join Nottingham med school as well..
Yes! All medical schools have interviews except Edinburgh (I think!)
@@drlucyrebecca2736 Edinburgh have changed their admissions policy so they do interviews as well now
Lucy Brett , why?!
Do u remember what was on your rejection ranking/cut off sheet? Like how did they score u?
