lol, giant panda jam! they were literally packed in there so tight they climbing over each other. this has to be one of the cutest panda videos ever :)
Janet, they ARE acting like happy Pandas. Also, remember why these cubs are kept in human custody in so many centers in China: to increase their population. There was about just 1000 species left not so long ago, i remember. Normally, mother gives birth to 2 cubs, but only one survives. With human assistance, both cubs survive actually. Panda children are very cute, playful, and are always everyones favorites. These cubs look like s buch of kids about to be let out into the McDonald's or a movie theater on a field day. They are about to eat, they are excited, standing over each other's shoulders. Would be better if there was more space in their eating quarters, but if the humans would rather allocate funds to providing nutricious food for them, i would agree it is a better idea.
Janet, remember, that these pandas are teens, they are growing, two months ago, or two weeks ago, it probably looked less jammed. If the humans are still letting them eat all at once, rather than shifts, probably because it is still acceptible. Maybe next week they will be ready to eat outside. Look at other videos of panda husbandry, and you will realize that the relationship between humans and THIS PARTICULAR SPECIES of bears is FAR from abuse. Kudos to chinese, for preserving this adorable creature. The world would certainly lose a lot of beauty if pandas died put. Look at the other videos about them. They are like little humanoid teddybears come alive!!!
I know they're probable fine but it looks at bit like meal time in a prison. They're super cute but I felt sad at the same time that they did not have more room. I expect that would need more staff to supervise them. They look happier drinking and eating outdoors
They absolutely love their milk, don't they? Never can get enough of milk. Then they get wowotow (panda cakes). They r so cute at this age n they love being w each other..it's like lunchtime at school f pandas.
What IS interesting is that as adults they are far less social with each other. But they are still very unaggressive and human friendly, as far as i know. The problem that lead to their extinctions is actually the other side of their low aggression: less testosterone. They can mate three days a year, or somethjng...:( With forests being smaller and smaller, and adult pandas trying to stay out of each other's way, the dating scene is pretty bad. Having only 1 out of 2 cubs survive is very devastating in such conditions

I do not think they are not happy. they seem happy
About as happy as painted clowns would appear in a concentration camp.

this is animal torture. they should not be suffering like this.
