Its very important for fuel economy, max speed and acceleration at higher speeds. Less aero drag - which means longer distance here, on the video, gives You better fuel economy and better acceleration performance. Yes, it is important.
God forbid you don't change the timing belt every 2 years or 24k miles. Or, if you sneeze while driving, the transmission goes out. That being said, I miss my two 164's. My cousin trashed my first after I sold it to him. Had it since new. Second, timing belt snapped at freeway speeds. Junked the engine. Couldn't get a engine or rebuild done cheaper than what the entire car was worth. Converted it to run on electric. It then became the most reliable (And QUICKEST!) Alfa Romeo in existence! That one is now gone too. The frame couldn't handle the torque of the electrics. I'm sure all the rust had something to do with it though. Miss my Alfas :-(
Still mmissing my TS
The synth mix tape is essential in a 164!

Driving the longest possible distance with the engine not working is definitely an important factor when owning this horribly unreliable model.

Sei poco informato, questo motore nonché l'auto, dalla bellissima forma, è molto affidabile.
