I've got a TON of musical stuff going on at the moment, but I feel like it's been forever since I uploaded a video. This one was a nice quick one: I arranged it monday, recorded it tuesday, and am uploading it today :) . Hope you enjoy!
Oh! And this is my new Ibanez S-Series. I've already replaced the stock pickups with Dimarzio Steve Morse (bridge) and Evolution (neck) pickups. I love the tone coming out of this thing. What do you think?

Mega Man X5 was the first X game I played, so it's really stuck with me and remained one of my favorites, despite the generally mixed reception it's had amongst fans and critics alike. I wouldn't say it had the best soundtrack of the all the X games, but it had its gems and this song is definitely one of them. You more than did it justice. *This* is why I subscribed. You, my friend, are amazing.

Thanks! I'm using all guitar plugins for this. The rhythms are using free plugins (search "lepou plugins"), and my lead tone is using "guitar rig" and modeling a mesa-boogie-like tone

This is actually an Ibanez s-series, but it's got a blue quilted top like many PRS do. I wish I could afford a nice PRS haha

I've followed your music for about half a year or so now, and your skills are certainly coming along quite nicely. I'm not necessarily making this a request, but speaking of Megaman X5 music, one song in particular I think would be very challenging to do any real justice to would be Mattrex's stage theme, the big flaming T-Rex. I want to try it myself, but I have no experience with guitars. If you try it, I suggest that you challenge yourself rather than take it as a request.

How did you mute the lead guitar part to overdub your own solo? Or did you completely re-record the entire track from scratch? It's amazing my dude!
A year late in my reply 😂 but I recorded the track from scratch! I learned the individual parts by ear, then MIDI programmed the drums and bass, recorded the rhythm guitar parts, then finally played/recorded the lead track in sync with the video. I tried to get the mix to sound close to the original. Thank you so much!

I learn the whole song by ear (drums, guitars, bass, synth), then program/record an arrangement. There's an old trick I used to do-- try downloading "TuxGuitar" and importing a song of your choice in MIDI format. I downloaded MIDI tracks from the "VGMusic" website when I started out. The positions aren't perfect, but it gives you an idea of the notes to play. Hope that helps!
