  • MTB Adventure at Oleta River State Park: Trails, Challenges, the Unexpected and a bit more…!
It didn’t catch my eye until I started working on this video: MTB? Tracking apps show so many more trails at Oleta’s than what are available to ride physically: why?
I rode all trails available, but wanted just to concise everything in just 1 video and about MTB trails I had to choose 3…
    1.- El Diablo…
I liked it since had so many sneaky features, got my front wheel stuck in front of a root that didn’t haver the size to do so, then I was pedaling and my foot got stuck in the sand on top of the hill yet I was on top of the pedal.. was weird and tricky!
    2.- Gator Bank
Was long… some time I had the chance to play on the harder feature and some others don’t… I started noticing the poor signage here.
    4.-Psychopath
This clim is insane… long, gravelly… thin.. a freaking hard fall on the left..!
Now, I needed another section: Challenges
Only 1 challenge.. Terrible Half pipe.. Got lost 2x in the same loop!
Strangler Fig several trails had very poor signage! Very frustrating.
    The Unexpected
I WANT TO POINT OUT 2 UNXPECTED EVENTS:
    Unexpected 1
    Closed trails
There is always a sign at the entrance of the park, that may change daily due to “maintenance”, but Gilligan’s is always there… and Gilligan is not the only trail in that section, so what happened with these other 5 trails? :
    SS Minnow
    Killer Fern
    Wicked
    Gates of Delirium
    Buzzard Bridge
Does anyone has info? Public threat? Please hit me in the comments if you know anything
    Unexpected #2
After wondering about the closed trails I noticed this climb on the right of the intersection… not shown on trail forks, therefore had no name… and I went for the climb, which was not only pretty decent but had a nice way down on a couple of drops that you can use to pump and get on top of that dirt piled berm…. Why unexpected? The dirt wall gave me the same sensation of a similar feature I used to ride as a kid with my friends.
