Last week we sat down with buzzing Jacksonville rapper GMK for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about life in Jacksonville, the violence in his city, music bringing more opportunities to the city, growing up in a lot of different states, jumping off the porch when he was 14, getting locked up soon after, overcoming the streets, starting to rap when he was 18, explains the difference between supporting somebody & believing in them, his first music video getting 800k views, explains how he linked with Yungeen Ace, developing a strong relationship with him, explains his creative process, his buzz when he had to go to jail in 2020, his thoughts on the music industry & rap game, moving out of Jacksonville when he came home last year, dropping remix to “Sleazy Flow” with Yungeen Ace, the video going viral, his new single “Born To Be Free”, not having any regrets about his life, his upcoming tape, signing to an independent label, his goals, advice for the youth, and much more!

I know GMK is gonna blow up. Out of ATK I think GMK is the best rapper. He’s really versatile and has great flow. IMO… I see some King Von in him. As far as music goes. Not saying he’s on Von’s level yet but the potential is there.
