I find it hard to believe there isn't good rear passenger room being that this is one of the largest vehicles on the market. Other than that, great review.
the door that shuts itself, i think, was first introduced in 1991, on the merc s-class; the trunk door that closes itself, i think, was first introduced on the merc 600 (Pullman) back in 1963; that being said the new range is a great car!
I've got a Disco II & Range Rover Sport and will admit that I wasn't a fan of the new RR front, but I must say that it's grown on me a lot. I must reaffirm the fact that the design cues which are synonymous with the Range Rover haven't changed one bit with this car, yet in the decade it took 'rover to redesign the full-size range rover, it's unfortunate that companies like Ford HAVE changed and taken many of the design cues. If there was no Explorer or Flex, this would be a better-looking car :(
Where the idea that you can go anywhere in a Rangie came from? In the classic climb a few steep hills and brake the rear diff, then easy the front one too, or a front driveshaft, or the chain in the transfer box. The p38 is the same, I saw one breaking both front driveshafts like sticks in 2meters of mud. The air chambers catch sand in the folds and crack, the front driveshaft in the L322 spins in intself and the car remains stranded, since the center diff can't be locked. so?....
I'd buy one just because or the seperate arm rest. I hate sharing armrest with my wife. Its too narrow in the mercedes GL, and I dont think a silverado is luxury.
Only thing i don´t like about this car is the Touchscreen system - in that regard i think Porsche have chosen the right direction keeping real buttons. If you have the money and will equip one of these for terrain travel, switches are a better option. Else it looks great and will be a real up market contender.
as i checked all the cars that were there to be reviewed had the same plate, and the only reason i commented because i thought that the expenses for the car rental and the scene cut into the length of the review...
You guys have it the other way around. Ford used to own Land Rover when they started developing this car. So ford had acces to make the explorer look like the range rover.
Buy Disco 4. Previous model's price was more acceptable to combine luxury and off-road capability. But at this price range, if I'm in the market, I'd buy Disco 4.
The old Rangie looks better. It has a classic feel to it which makes it very desirable. But in every other tangible way, this one is much much better than the old Rangie. The tech on this car with the looks of the old Rangie with a modern facelift would be the perfect SUV.
All Land Rover had to was keep the current shape and shed the same weight and improve the built quality. I bet any money that it would keep on selling solidly for 10 more years.
If I may offer criticism, we never saw the interior/ dashboard overall feel of the front seating area aside from a mere 5 seconds at the center touchscreen in which nothing of it was explained.... furthermore way too much face time.. almost no exterior shots? You're given such a unique landscape/setting and we see almost none of it..
Those wheels are perfectly balanced and suit the car much better than riduculously big 22" rapper alloys. There's nothing tackier than a true allroader (or a Rolls-Royce) with ultra-low profile tires.
i love range rover , the only thing i wish , is that they would of kept a unique entertainment system and touch screen , and dash board , rather than just using the exact same one that jaguar uses , that blue colour is nice but looks abit dull
I still don't understand why many Brits call Americans fat ... Whenever I go to visit my grandpa I see plenty of folks about the same size (if no bigger) than this man...
I'm going to have a range rover modified it all have the interior of the new one and be the size of the old one but it's going to be eight meters long.
The comments of Steve Fowler are good, but he should show more the car and not his face they didn't show in the hole video the inside or the cool details that make a Range Rover, and yes its a shame it looks like a 2012 Ford Explorer!!!
These days only bell ends buy Range Rovers which is sad. Even Bentley has sold its soul to feed the egos of people with more money than taste, who just want to elevate themselves and their egos. Give me an old and honest Range Rover Classic 4.2 V8 LSE any day however, and I can guarantee it will never be seen without mud on it...
They did it again.
The whole package is just absolutely stunning.
I find it hard to believe there isn't good rear passenger room being that this is one of the largest vehicles on the market. Other than that, great review.
What a wonderful presenter. He has such a confidence in front of the camera, I've added this video to my favorites just to emulate him.
The Panoramic glass roof is amazing, you have to get it on this and the Evoque.

Do you still have them?
the car is just amazing , and i love it , it great
Did you mean "than", or do you want to see more of him, just not until after he has shown more of the vehicle first?
What's with the negative camber at the end of the video? Air suspension feature?
Nice review and that beer stomach is awesome .

i quite like the looks, not sure if better than before but not bad at all, and obviously its a great car
how much does it cost in Morocco?
I'd buy one just because or the seperate arm rest. I hate sharing armrest with my wife. Its too narrow in the mercedes GL, and I dont think a silverado is luxury.
i don't get it. its taller wider and longer than x5 q7 etc yet it managed to be small in the rear passenger's area than some smaller suvs
how longer is than the older one ???

I was about to type the exact same thing... thanks for saying it... for me... coz i totally agree!
the range rover was unique for it's straight lines and dignified structure...this looks like a ford explorer with "range rover" on the front
Observing thes scene at 4:57 and the scene after that plus the one before
as i checked all the cars that were there to be reviewed had the same plate, and the only reason i commented because i thought that the expenses for the car rental and the scene cut into the length of the review...

It's a nice update but it is too expensive (always has been - and so is the Evoque), it may have lost over 400kg's but its arguably still to heavy.

the defender?
but i love the traditional "slam" technique

what a kind of a vehical is this. awsome
I've already got used to the looks, I love it
Welcom in Morocco

Good reviewer.....

Looks like an Explorer? Should've gone to Specsavers.
waw this video record it in morocco
@SlabX yes you are right i wanted to say "than" my mistake. I'am just no english.
I would never consider it until they fix the reliability problems that have plagued prior generations
forget about the rover ... are you pregnant dear ? xD
so there is no V8?
looks relly cool
I still don't understand why many Brits call Americans fat ...
Whenever I go to visit my grandpa I see plenty of folks about the same size (if no bigger) than this man...
If you're looking for a decent review of this car, check out the EVO one, also on RUclips
Salzburg Plate?
Just so HANDSOME.
Aren't those shark gills supposed to be on the front fender? And 440 kg? They must have been moking like bosses before?
I didn't know Ricky Gervais did car reviews.
I'm going to have a range rover modified it all have the interior of the new one and be the size of the old one but it's going to be eight meters long.
He actually said that new model has more space
Why the Austrian numberplates?
Between 90 and 100,000? Jesus. That is a little bit too expensive for a Range Rover. They should be between 50 and 70,000, tbh.
The current face lifted Range Rover looks better in my opinion
Is it just me or did the RR at 2:33 looked like it belong to a member of the Moroccian Mafia?
Sweet !
Love it.
This guy is not overweight but he seems to be really really tall!
1700W sound system, holy shit!!!!
If i'm spending that much money on a "luxury" car I would get a Maserati Quattroporte
where is our usual test driver ?!
morocco
*Land Rover. Tata had nothing to do with the design and construction of the car.
Those door fins/vents ruin it and we need the tdi in the U.S. instead of the 5.0L Jaguar engine it kills the fuel efficent theme of the truck
The previous model looks a million times better. They ruined it :(
this guy is good
The comments of Steve Fowler are good, but he should show more the car and not his face they didn't show in the hole video the inside or the cool details that make a Range Rover, and yes its a shame it looks like a 2012 Ford Explorer!!!
land Rover needs to build stripped down range rovers for people who actually plan on taking them off road.
You don't say so but I assume it was a diesel.
Peter Smith yes
It loos like there's three different Range Rover's in this video??...
bring back the previous model.
Looks like its weighs more than old one..
Good point, it seems that the guy is huffing and puffing like a 20 year-old Range Rover.
man those tail lights kill the whole look -_-
Never let a Englishman review a Range rover , cuz you never here something bad , while there are bad points
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
the previous one looks better
i want that back
love morocco
And don't forget that it's german while offroading
True.
unless is Matt Watson of course :)
Longer and wider, but no space in the back... Wait, what?
good choice..he's the man
For the U.S. market
range rover = worst reliability you can get.
Lexus LX570 would be a better choice, just needs a redesign, because it looks like a fancy land cruiser
who would rather buy the previous model??
me definitely!!!
Funny, I was about to say the same thing... :)
how can u complain about the space in the back
yay
Simple equation: see less of him = see more of the car. QED!!
( See post from 26lumma below)
i love it
Put your glases back on! The old one looks like a car from the 90-is!
if they had even just kept the face straight and not curved, it would have been a thousand times better
Dear Santa !!!

420 kg lighter! :O no more free stones in the trunk:/
wtf is wrong with the leather seat on the side?!
the 2010 model was perfect. I hate the Evoque and the new Vogue.
Sorry, but who the hell do you think you are to be saying such things?
My new favourtite car
On a Ford Explorer Platform...
I like the G55 AMG
