I'm surprised Emerg didn't reference that. That opening scene from Fallout: New Vegas was such an awesome moment when that initial trailer was shown for the first time. I was hoping we were looking at the courier but I guess we don't want to a definite ending either.

I wonder if the whole "whose chipped and who is not chipped" thing will kind of turn into a situation similar to synths in fallout 4.
My theory is that the microchips are the Enclaves version of synths, that they're not advanced as the institute to make 'perfect' synths. I think back to Kellogg from fallout 4, with all the cybernetics he had, and how he wasnt full synth.
If the rumor about anything from the show making into Fallout 5 (releasing in 2070 at this rate) is true than that would be a cool thing to play with in the game, like how your memories start at character creation or whatnot

I liked season 2 even more than 1. That was really cool experience and interesting to watch with all these theories and main discussion around the season. And the fact that, in addition to the Enclave, whose role will be very interesting to explore next season: unresolved cases in New Vegas, the intervention of the Knights of San Fernando. All of this will be interesting to watch in Season 3. Next season will be very interesting in terms of confrontation. I can't wait for it...

How could the ghouls daughter make it to the vault if she was with him while the bombs dropped?
Got a feeling that will be explained when he finds them or somewhere in season 3. I’m guessing that he takes the daughter to the mom since they’re still in the same area while the bombs fell, and get separated somehow. The mom and daughter travel and end up in the vault. I’m thinking the mom and daughter end up being escorted by Vault-Tec somehow.
Since the Great War lasted 2 hours, that would technically give them enough time to travel to las vegas from hollywood (a little less than 300 miles) but they’d have to be hauling ass maintaining 150mph AND getting lucky that the bombs didn’t hit them/shockwaves/etc. Doubt they’d maintain that speed by car so, a high speed train with no stops, or an airplane if the shockwaves of the bombs along the way didn’t blast them out of the sky? Either way I hope they have a good explanation for it and it isn’t an asspull of an explanation.
I was thinking the same thing. Something else must going down because cooper is “working” kids’ parties to survive and the daughter is the same age as she currently is, so where’s the wife? Did they make her disappear because there’s no way she walks away from her kid.

Bro that's what made this such a disappointing finale. It's like the writers don't know where the story is going, so they left everything open to give themselves a couple years to figure it out. I'm speechless honestly.
@Zypher36 I'm feeling like fallout is too epic for the show writers so they have to keep in circumvoluted family, mysteries and spy plots instead of the wider scheme that would imply big battles and develop factions and a lot of special effects (but nowadays you can do it). So it's very convenient to kinda destroy the factions and just bring them back casually in the finale with 3 dozens of extras. I feel like in the end fallout serie is more a spy show than and aventure/war show. I feel like this show is a big scam.

I’m confused about Howard and his daughter being at a BD party in LA when the bombs dropped. But now he’s arrested by the Enclave and his daughter is in Colorado? How are they gonna rectify that?
Him being arrested was before the birthday party, so something must have happened in between then that he was able to get out of it and start his life somewhat again after his image was ruined (by the Enclave)
also I’m thinking that while the bombs are dropping, Coop takes his daughter to the mom and they become separated. @kayowls24I’m not sure, my memory is hazy but maybe. That was another thing I wondered about. Maybe an underground railway system? Especially with the inclusion of some vaults being connected it’s a good theory! It would be the best transportation to keep them safe from the bombs/fallout and they’d probably have no knowledge of what happened on the surface.
I’m probably reading too into things but maybe Hank teaching Lucy how to ride a golf cart in the tunnels wasn’t just a weird bonding moment but might be a sly nod to something like that.

Now the timeline gets a little messy for me when it comes to the postcard. She either left it before the bombs fell while visiting the facility or something??? Or after but that's a different can of worms right there.
Also one point I would like to make about the whole "enclave is in colorado" part... Personally I would not be surprised if it was actually Canada.
Imagine all of America getting nuked while Canada stays relatively unharmed and the enclave just doing their thing there. How that would tie into the oil rig ? Idk, but we knew the enclave was kinda split.
What I do know is that eden is inconsequential, just a ZAX supercomputer going nuts and dreaming himself into being the president of the united states he took in the people who were left at navaro and continued the mission of the oil rig in his delusions ( F.E.V project that was supposed to be air carried and kill mutations, which he managed to scrape together but in a form that would be only useful with the purifier). So that chapter of the enclave was just some remnants.

Coop and his wife still aren't perfect.There are events which separate them a lot or enough ,tgat his name is on another vault list,Bakersfield( the ghoulified experiment),and his wife and kid in the Management vault.Dramatic separation, possibly even all of them cryo slept for a period,and all awoken ,moved for " writing" purpose...at different times.

They're both some of the smartest characters in the franchise when it comes to understanding human nature and history, even if they're both rightfully slightly insane, they both faced certain death and survived, and only after that, did they become wiser at the price of their sanity. The legion is a band of savages being controlled by the only person barely above 100IQ. It was obvious that Edward Sallow knew this and knew that without him the legion is doomed to fail, they immediately broke into smaller factions fighting over a note that literally says "Screw you all now that I'm dead", lame ass savages

10:12 I thought it was more of a jab at his personality, as Hank has shown interests in "personality types" it seems more like a really bad attempt at justifying why they used him but planned on making him an enemy. Mr House is seen like a robot because of the way he moves, talks and his ideologies. Whereas the enclave is more like how the ultra elite see themselves as above everyone else.

@kyskys. Deathclaws are genetically engineered from DNA of animals spliced together pre-war. So most likely Supermutants are the result of F.E.V, which may well be what phase 2 is.

You missed a major easter egg that you can see the Diamond chip under the fusion core in the cold fusion reactor. Also the Commonwealth STILL has their liberty prime so there would be TWO liberty primes fighting each other potentially. They also haven't touched on the Synths yet.

2 moments of hard goosbumbs, the ncr sniper, but the most important moment, was when steff open hank macclains box and the enclave pipboy was revealed.
the next interesting part of season 3, the enclave in colorado, there has to be a bunker/vault, otherwise the would no have survived, so they made some aspects of fallout tactics game into the game. the refernece to the colorado bunker is in season one, where the scientist escapes and faces automatic turrets, where there were a lot in the game.
The phase two 2 initiation, well thats an interesting part. my guess is, that the enclave, which has in the fallout tactics no role, but has secretly build the calculator takes over, where the system has failed them. it could fit into the storyline. the original calculator has been destroyed or failed and the enclave took over a long time ago. from the timeline perspective it is possible that after the stopping of the calculator, that the enclave took over and salvaged what was there.
there is also the short blib, were hank said, the surface was the experiement. this could mean, that the experiements shifted from vaults only to surface only, when the masterminds saw, that the original plan failed. what stays open, is how powerful is the enclave, we have seen automated turrets, secret surface buildings, some armored guards, so they are a mistery.
as for the panout sequence, we saw remains of caesars legion, ncr, but now securitrons. so mr. house may has won, the battle. what does this mean of vegas, well the house always wins.
so what open story archs do we have, the super mutant, taddius transformation, cooper howard going to colorado and norm going home?. Future of Lucy and Max, Hank maybe around but has erased his memories. the big hidden mega vault, the future of the strip, after the NCR and the legion battle for,
i am really into this phase 2 of the enclave!
oh there is one thing about the chips, they implanted, the activation device seems to have a limited range, which means, people can be chipped, but without a strong enough signal, they cannot be turned and btw. what purpose does the chip bring, when it humbles people, but noone gives them orders or goals, it seems that there is weakspot in the concept.

Shame they've more or less quietly retconned everything that happens on the Couriers journey in New Vegas, even going as far to never mention them explicitly, along with the complete omission of the platinum chip. Courier six may as well have never existed.

Also it was said during the episode that "the surface is the experiment not the vaults" I found that interesting.
I found it kinda weird that Hank said that because from the games it's always been pushed on the player that most vaults were in themselves social experiments/testing labs for the big corporations.
@Casey_HZDthe games also explained that the enclave was gathering the data from all the vaults specifically to help them prepare for travel to another planet rather than remake earth
