Couple of other things to add, you mentioned guard and reserves but Air Force Civil Service can also attend the online online training (there are requirements that must be meet to apply like if you are training through an air force leadership development program, letter of recommendation from supervisor, and fall in the proper pay and and grade level WG 9-15, WS 1-13, WL 1-14, GS 9-12)
Another point is you typically need to have a reason to attend for example I’m working on my application now to obtain my level 3 professional maintenance certificate program form (PMxCP) which requires graduation from SOS DL and completion of a Bachelors degree as part of the training requirements. Another side note this opportunity is open to enlisted as well in DL option only after completing first 2 levels of certification. for those interested all information is available on AF LPDP under training on Air Force portal home page

Hello, thanks for posting your experience with SOS. I'll be heading to SOS coming up here soon as well. I'm contemplating bringing my preschool aged daughter with me. With your experience, the workload and expectations, do you think its doable to bring a child with you to SOS or just suck up the family seperation for 5 weeks? Thanks.
