Superb discussion of urushi & maki-e! And congratulations upon such a magnificent gift! Your other subscribers might not know that with an ink syringe, the accompanying filled cartridge can be cleaned and refilled, and hold rather more ink than the cartridge-converter. That said, I use the converter.

@@2tinytreasures Yoseka is my happy place lol. I'm very fortunate to live in NJ, so it takes me about an hour and a half to get there with traffic. I make my husband drive me there every couple of months lol.

Yes, they have a cheaper model in the $150 range that is screen printed
