As a born & raised Hawaii local (Hilo boy), I can't be more proud of 808 Cafe. We hadn't heard of this little gem until we watched this episode (we just got back from eating lunch there).
We were super excited about their crispy gau gee, as for some reason, that's really hard to find anywhere outside of Hawaii. We were not disappointed!
I got the mochiko chicken, and she got the crispy noodles.
Pretty large portions, and we can't wait to go back.

The double super times pay must have had a(any) multiplier AND a dealt royal for that multiplier to default to a 20x.

I don't know for sure but I believe the wooden barriers are there to stop drivers from looking over into the construction site while driving. Given the volume, it would be only a matter of time before someone isn't paying attention and causes an accident.

We live up in Reno. Went to Cactus Creek Bonanza Casino for my wife bday. After dinner, we stopped to play a bank of VP machines on our way out. My wife was trying to put a $20 in the machine but it wouldn’t take it. She looked at the bill acceptor and there was a $20 jammed in there. She took the $20 out and reinserted in the machine. 2 hands later she hit a royal for $1000.
I recently got a lucky $200 from a player named Nana at Pechanga after she hit a 20k royal right next to me. We were in the high limit room and she insisted I take it and said it would bring good luck...the next day I hit a 4k royal on the very same machine I played the day before sitting next to her!! thank you Nana if you're out there! I promise to pay the next one forward!

Very nice woman and I were playing next to each other. Jackpot on the game we were playing was $6000. She explained how the game worked-I had not played it before-and not five minutes later, she hit the jackpot. She insisted on giving me $100 and would not take no for answer so I took it. Played for quite some time and ended up $1000 ahead that day. I’ve not paid that forward to random individual; instead, I tip more than usual to casino staff and enjoy making their day!🎉

On our last trip, we stayed at MGM Grand. Our view was the Tropicana. It was fun to see the daily progress and to watch them tear down the outer walls of the buildings.
I wonder if the baracades on the street are just to prevent cars from slowing down to watch?
Question: when it comes to payout percentage on VP - The chances of hitting a royal are so slim, what is the percentage without including a royal?

I was just prowling around VPFree and checked out Downtown Grand. Are those bartop multi-progressives gone or am I just going blind?
Hi Guys, I have a question regarding Oversea visitors (like myself) and hand pays. I know that if you are an overseas visitor (from a country that has a tax treaty with the US) and you hit a hand pay, in order to not get any tax withheld you need to have an ITIN. I know you cannot request an ITIN from the IRS unless you need one (like been lucky enough to get a hand pay). I have heard recently that certain casino's (like MGM resorts and Wynn) will actually do the paperwork for you so you can collect your winning in full. The reason I ask this is that if you do not have an ITIN and do get taxed, it will cost money when you get home to engage a professional to act on your behalf to retrieve the tax on your winnings. Now, if all this is true, isnt it better for an overseas visitor who hasn't hit a jackpot yet to gamble at the casinos who will do the paper work for you?
I was in Vegas during Memorial Day Weekend/Week. Stayed at MGM Studio room, the renovated "cheap" room. Not bad, BUT it faced The Trop and just to sit there and watch the demolition...history in the making! I got a little emotional to be honest. I'm glad I got to see it firsthand as it were.
Also..I tried to visit you guys but it was just way too hot!! Lol. Couldn't pull ourselves away from the pool at MGM. LOL.
Hawaiians are the best people to gamble with in a casino. I was at the Cal (famous for their Hawaiian clientele) and a guy was just losing every hand and he got up from the table, circled his chair and put his hand out to the dealer and said, "Hey, how you doin' brudda!" and said he was a new player to the table, so don't deal him losing hands. Just fun people to be around, win or lose. 🤣
Just got back from Vegas- managed to play three days of free play at the Tuscany. In the hallway behind the deli there are a couple of machines that have 9/7 double bonus. The ladies at the rewards center also reported that you have to play a little between day 2 and 3 of the free play.
First day at Tuscany they told me no wager required .
3rd day they told me wager was required .
I had never heard of the "Lucky 20", but I am a believer in Karma and that sharing brings luck to you. I hit a $4000 Royal, split it with my late husband, then hit a dealt 4 Aces with a kicker on $1 triple play for $6000 right after. KARMA! Shared some of a $4000 Royal (another one) with my son and daughter in law - next day dealt 4 Aces w/kicker for $2000. Karma!

Hi A&A - We love the Beer Fridays. WE WANT BOB NERCESSIAN as your guest. Also, just an FYI - the reason for the fence around the Tropicana is to protect the pedestrians walking buy - chain link fence will not always protect pedestrians from debris flying from the demolition.
