    Melatonin does shyt for me. Ambien doesn't even knock me out. Only thing that knocks me on my rear is Xanax. Ambien with benadryl works for 3-4 hours then I'm up and can't go back to bed. I've been battling severe chronic insomnia since a child.

      I drink my morning coffee or two and that’s it for caffeine. I notice i sleep much better. Dark room and a comfortable bed. People sleep a third of their day in bed. May as well make it comfortable. Reading works as well. Eating actually makes me sleep better not worse before bed.

      I love Xanax! same thing for me it’s the only thing that knocks me out, as well as Ativan! But it doesn’t hit the same as a bar

      xanax has lot of side effects and can lead to dependency
      so cut down on xanax is my recommendation
      absolutely stop caffeine in your diet.. many people are intolerant to caffeine

      I understand what you are experiencing…prescription sleep meds might help me sleep, but only 4 hours max and then I feel terrible the next day….I have suffered from insomnia for decades.

    What works for me is sold at grocery store. Simply called Sleep Aid. Bot habit forming.

    Yeah, cut down from 5mg to 3mg, 3 works just as well, probably could go lower. Acedotal but after dropping 50 pounds melatonin seems to be stronger?? If you have anxiety you could go with a cup of chamomile or passionflower tea (or capsules) since they effect the benzodiazepine receptors (or rather, the apigenin in them does)

    Yeah, just melatonin 2.5mg (5 mg gummy cut in ½) and I never remember actually falling asleep cause 20 minutes later the urge to crash and burn is real!
    As I stumble past the cat, eye on the prize to 😴😴

    I only get 2-3 hours a night no matter what... it's awful. PTSD is terrible

    Whenever I use melatonin (3 mg dose), I have a lot of side affects: depression, nightmare, dry mouth, anxiety… It supposed to make me sleepy but it works opposite on me. Is this normal?😢

    I recently tried melatonin 3mg and it was great for anxiety but did nothing to help me sleep. I'm currently taking short term zopiclone and even that doesn't work well on me!!!! One time I took melatonin and zopiclone together and I woke up after 3 hours 😥😬

    I've used the 5mlg gummies and it still didn't make me sleep. I've ever eaten 4 or 5 at a time...nothing...no sleep 😟

      You have to take it everyday for a few days for it to really start working. Then it’s lala land. Works great for me.
