This is very handy as I want to do this with kasrkin heads so, regular infantry can have respirator heads. The black on those dark angels is brilliant! Such a difficult colour to paint I find as well.
simply directly from the pot with the brush, after applying and blowing off the loose parts I used the airbrush thinner applied from the airbrush to seal the pigment. Airbrush thinner will stick and settle the pigment to the base:)
It is a white spirit from Leroy Merlin (market) and it is true, it evaporates almost instantly, too quick for my taste, but I havent tried other one so far:)
Acrylic Resin is amazing, surprised i havent seen more use it all considered how easy it is to use. You can actually buy it in 5kg buckets for around 30-40 dollars or in 25kg bags for around 100-129 dollars, it goes by " DIPLAST-DUSTY (MONOCOMPONENT RESIN) "
Looks great. I'd love to see a tutorial on the black armour
Brilliant! You just solved my Gallowdark basing problem 😀 Thanks!
Love to hear that!:))
I’d love to see other colors too but it’s a great idea!

What solvent did you use on the oil paint? It looks like it evaporated so quickly, mine takes forever!
It probably looked like that because of the acrylic resin it was applied on, its porous so it would suck all the whitespirit up in an instant

Yeah, exactly, I have also found already alternatives in my local building markets, but this one from GSW is a safe choice, works great:)
