I never ever leave comments But thank you so much for doing these tutorials on f ,g, c and these simpler keys so it’s much much easier to transpose the runs mentally on the fly into harder keys. Please please keep doing these in simple keys. It’s 100x times easier to grasp mentally without doing mentale gymnastics As a white guy on keys, our churches don’t tend to use all of the sharp and flat keys that “black gospel” is predominantly played in. Keep ‘em coming.
Just subscribed! Now to watch all your videos!!! Your explanation is awesome and very inspiring. Opened my eyes and ears to gospel piano! Now to play in all keys! Thanks from Australia!
deyquan, i m a muslim but i wanna very much much much to learn play gospel and love to listen. pray for me please. thanks your works. i watch u from istanbul.
+Deyquan Bowens i follow and support you and your style, i mention about your channel who is interested in this style, be sure! thank u again👍❤ (i m not good at english, sorry ok?)
I love the way you add classical t your playing. I’ve been been playing gospel piano for so long now 15+ years, how do you suggest I start learning classical piano?
Thanks for noticing the classical element to my playing. I focused like 4 years of listening and studying classical music. Sometimes all you need to do is just surround yourself in the music you're trying to learn. Eventually that sound will rub off on you. It's challenging to learn the language of classical music if you don't read music. If you can read music, learn a few bars from pieces that stand out to you and add them to your gospel playing.
If I put it in a song, then you wouldn't have YOUR own way of doing it. Check out this video I did on how to implement chords. ruclips.net/video/e6S1OxJ47EQ/видео.html

Thanks for your videos please can u give as passing chords
Hey thanks! I have a video out on passing chords ruclips.net/video/XdnqJs053L0/видео.html There will be more to come!
when you play the whole prog. you placed C# on that second motive but the breakdown you told it as a C natural.
I placed C in the chord to explain what chord I was using but the voicing I used in context of the progression didn’t need a C.
How does the scale go to F and then A? Is there a music theory behind that?
I’m using a term called secondary dominant. I was going to D minor (the 6 of F) the 5 of D minor is A7, that’s why I used A Major.
@@DeyquanBowens Thank you
Yeah brot
Can we get to play “ above all” with key F please
Hmmm! Let me check that out!
passing cords for f
sharp
my question where do u get that a major from when u play a 3
It’s called a secondary dominant. The A become the 5 of D minor/major.
@@DeyquanBowens ok thnx
God bless you. Which tone and which keyboard brand did you use?
Jesse Joel for the piano sound, I use Ravenscroft 275.
