At rewards did largest snook measure 39.5? That 40 incher should've taken that award as well, unless I didn't hear everything correctly... okay, I commented BEFORE I finished vid. Capt. explained it all. My bad, lesson learned.
They’re not that plentiful there you just have to know where to cast at them- any points that have moving water and or rock structure from a crystal river guy
Really nice fish! I'm heading to Destin in August, are snook around in that area? I'm from coastal GA so they're not really thing around there, and I really want to mark it off the bucket list.
That's pretty far north to target them. The northernmost regions you can consistently target them are around Cedar Key on the West Coast and Ormond Beach on the East Coast.
I have fished Crystal River/ Homosassa area for about 3 years and have only caught 1 very short snook. What a day, congratulations ladies!!!
I am NOT believin that Fish..! What a great job on the bow of the boat. I would faint if I hooked a Snook that damn big. 😱

Wild to imagine so many snook that far north. Never caught one or even heard of them being caught (only very rarely) 15 years ago.

@@stratpaulguy86 Thanks for the info!
Likely not in the Destin area but plenty of redfish and solid offshore fishing
