Never forget the president's cup where his 1v1 opponent called him out for stumbling into the hotel lobby at 4 am before their match saying how unprofessional he was (paraphrasing) then AK went out and stomped him a few hours later lol. Legendary.
You forgot the part when as he got older, his body simply couldn't handle excessive drinking and partying like when he was 19 years old. As a result, AK has been on the decline for the past 12 years, while people who were once behind him, including that dude, have achieved so much in their careers.
For a while I thought AK was making a comeback to golf😭😭😭😭 if there’s 2 golfers I’d love to see play competitive golf again is AK and DAVID DUVAL, 2 of my longtime favorite golfers outside of TW.
He could compete again as an amateur and not violate the insurance clause, which is apparently part of what is holding him back. He could then give all his winnings to charity or a good cause. I am sure someone would give him a sponsors exemption, as has happened with many promising young golfers. SUre would be a buzz in the golf community about watching this weekend's tourney.
he got a huge insurance payout for getting injured. Would have to pay it back if he plays professionally ever again. Taking out that policy was really smart. Really unlucky that the claims are made by a golfer from the insurance company point of view. I bet the premiums weren't even that much.
@@johnsonspark171 this makes more sense. Because someone of his ability I can't see him quitting. But then again there is no guarantee you will last on tour, I have seen so many PGA golfers, come and go over the years, they get streaky for a few tournaments and then disappear forever. You need to be making a lot of money from winnings or have sponsors/family money just to pay all your expenses.
He’s never coming back to the tour. Even if he decided today to come back he would not do well with the competition that is out there right now. Not that he could not have done well against them, but he has been out too long to do a comeback.
@@ryanjohnson985 - His skill as an active player in his 20s would not be the same as a player coming off a 10 year hiatus at 36 or 37 years old. That is not taking away from his achievements … it is just acknowledging 10 years is very long time and the odds would be against him. AK himself said in 2019 his game is non-existent. But all of this is speculation anyway because he is not coming back.
@@TexasGolfer Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Tour Pro Brian Harman said he’d take AK as his partner in a team event today because he was that good! (2021)
@@ryanjohnson985 Yet, you still fail to grasp the concept that there is a high probability that he can't reach that level of play again regardless of what Brian Harman says.

If David Duval didn't get injured, Tiger would probably have 8 or 9 majors.
your wish came true!

Can some super rich guy just match his insurance payments. Him back on the tour would be awesome.
$25M was the rumor. Plus he's been seen playing poker a lot. Hmm, Dan Bilzarian- make it happen!
It’s happening now. LIV!

If people understood Anthony's situation right now, they'd be more understanding on why he cant play.
Can you elaborate?
If he takes one swing on tour his insurance policy for the injury that ended his career goes out the window.
