Dont cheap out on keystone jacks. I worked in one building where they started to fail after years of having a computer or phone plugged in. The pins bent over time and couldnt make firm contact and would cause the nic to randomly go haywire. At first everyone thought it was a driver or switch problem but nope. Phyical layer as usual. Replaced the keystones and problem solved.
Thanks Sarge. Always glad to hear from you! I really wrestled with what to title this. You an I would look for the word “Ethernet “. But would the average Joe use that word? Maybe “how to install a network wall outlet”? (Instead of “adding”)
@@NetworkAdvisor Another possible idea would be “How to add a network jack to a wall”. That is true, I don’t think the average Joe would use “Ethernet”.
ahahahah... that video is over a year old and you're the first one to say anything. I remember when I stuck that line in there, I was mildly nervous the #woke crowd would call me out on it. Glad you picked up on it. Thanks for watching! :-D
@@NetworkAdvisor You know what they say [something something] horticulture. Side note, I got the joke and was checking the comments to see if we were just glossing over it 😅
My future job!!😊
hey, great for you! :-D
Good and informative installation!
Thanks for watching! 😊
It is always better to run the conduits within the wall during construction or to a blueprint for network Conduiting
110% Peter, but I guess for cost reasons, I rarely see conduit for low-voltage drops. Thanks for the comment! :-)
thanks :o)

Great advice Henry. Back in my younger, dumber days, I bought some from Home Depot (CE brand). Oh man, I was so regretful. 😆
I would suggest renaming the title to something along the lines of “How to install a Ethernet wall plate.”
Just to help bring in more viewers.
