Well when you gig all over its easier and cheaper to carry a hard drive rather than a ton of heavy records. There is a video of him commenting on a large charge he had gotten from an airline. Even though maybe not seen as traditional it has allowed for some new mixes and techniques using cue points and especially loops that are made easier. It allows the Dj to use tools to help with greater creativity.
