    The Wu Dang Mountain has nearly the same kicks in Tai Chi Chaun as in Karate. Karate is part Taoist Tai Chi. I was looking for the Martial Applicatins of Tai Chi as my Uncle new tham as weill as 7 Stars Mantis and KunTao and believe it or not Jujitsu/Judo. Good Video but I was just loooking for the strikes and the submissions; but apparently, RUclips will not allow them to be published. Big Brother now has control over everything.

    Why does so many ppl demo the opening lift hands by adding a back step that does not exist in the form??? That means you are either training the opening wrong or the form must change... I say you all are doing it wrong

      I don’t know much tai chi but the reality is this if some one goes to push you the force of the push will force you back regardless if it makes contact or not. Besides it’s better from a practical point of view to take a step back in order to keep your balance

    • @damianneve
      @damianneve 2 года назад

      @@isaiahflemingramsey2351 that is not the reality. Those that say something is impossible are the ones watching others do it. This application is a different move than the opening.

      Firstly, if you have been training in Taijiquan for even a little while, you will know that the Solo Form is a vocabulary of movement, not a fixed recipe for self-defence. You do not execute the techniques practiced in the Solo Form one after the other in a real situation, nor do you necessarily execute the techniques exactly as practiced. Second, there are always an infinite number of variables which require an improvised response and it depends upon your own level of experience/knowledge as well. What is necessary is adherence to Taijiquan principles, however the techniques are executed. In this video, the Sifu, I admit, seems to be giving up his root with a fixed Ma Bu or horse stance in favour of allowing the student to move him backwards. He is however blending with the oncoming force and using it in his favour. The apparent discrepancy between the formal Solo Form practice and the partnered practice does not necessarily exist here.

      @@isaiahflemingramsey2351 In Taijiquan we practice fixed-step techniques as well as moving so that if you find yourself with your back to a wall and you cannot step back, you still have alternatives which can be applied to the situation. In another scenario with this same technique, the Sifu could also apply other choices to his defensive response - without, initially, moving his feet.

      @@damianneve I never said that it was impossible but in most cases you will be forced to take a step back.

    Unglaublich wie man mit so einem Mist den Leuten Seriösität vermittelt. Wenn der Typ neben dir richtig loslegen dürfte wäre nichts von dem Schwachsinn übrig.
