    This is very good! Obsidian is translucent and for small thin objects like an arrowhead or blade you'd see that, so I added some transmission, an IOR of 1.493, and a very dark yellow-gray subsurface scattering, which seems to work. I'm not sure how to do it but the way obsidian breaks the wavy striations go perpendicular to the plane of the shear. You probably wouldn't see the difference except in an extreme close-up shot though.

    Hi! I am a fan of your amazing creations! They have helped me in my adventure in becoming a 3D artist as your an inspiration to us beginners and up! You're materials are the best I have ever seen. 😀 I am working on a project right now of ice cream but I am unable to find a procedural video ice cream material anywhere, all videos about Blender and ice cream are only using internet image textures, which I would rather steer clear from. Do you think you can one day make a procedural ice cream material tutorial? I am just giving you an idea as I don't see one out there on RUclips, it would be very helpful and we would really appreciate it. That's if you want, no worries if you can't, just an idea! 😁

    I had a couple questions about the home and furniture asset pack I bought
    I was asking about changing materials and editing objects but just watched your how to video again on it and I think I figured it out. But would it be easy to make more variations of the kitchen cabinets?

    • @BrandonBloxBB
      @BrandonBloxBB 11 месяцев назад

      i figured out how to make copies of the cabinets myself with your textures for more variation, im working on this apartment that will take a while to finish but a lot of it is with your stuff, where the best place to post it for you to see it? may be a video or several pics

    If you are putting a procedural material on a primitive that is already properly uv mapped then isn’t it better to make the mapping be “uv” instead of “object”?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  11 месяцев назад

      actually object coordinates is better for procedural materials, because with UV's you can have seams and the UV's can also get stretched.
