You should have been a warlock though. The hero power draws you a card and the theme of that class is 'Life is a resource'. I don't understand how this went sideways 😂
Should have gone Menagerie Warrior. Low curve. Only runs two spells, but those spells conditionally can draw up to 8 cards and 5 on average and a legendary it runs also draws 5.

The fact that the starting quiz included questions that required knowledge of the game before even starting the game is why online quizzes always feel stupid.
I think people genuinely underestimate the value of surprise. In a game where most people are just netdecking, having someone play something unexpected is enough to throw some people entirely off kilter.
Back when I played Hearthstone, I played a stupid amount of random effects for that reason. People start to sweat when even you don't know your next move.
@@NachozMan Tess copy deck + bunch of not so random discovers against slow decks has the potential to clap any deck out there. And nothing feels better than to steal and win with their win con. Especially after you silenced it. :D
Rarran here's a little tip for you: if you hover your mouse over the legendary warrior minion that plays a copy of the last opponent's spell it will also show you what secret your opponent played exactly. That's why it's a huge value card!
I really wish there was another bit at the end to see CGB's reaction to how the deck worked, feedback, etc. Basically, I want an After Action Report damnit. He'd probably be thrilled to know that his dogshit deck managed a 57% win rate; that's about 4 times better than I thought it would do.
He did! Spoilers: . . . . . . He tried to make an Arcane Bombardment deck work, included a bunch of cantrips (even bad ones), Swiftspear, and the whole thing was a glorious nonfunctional mess. Definitely worth a watch!
funny thing with asvedon, you can actually hover over it to see the last spell your opponent played. so you dont even need to play it. thats the only reason i actually run the card, just to always know what secrets they play
Best content on both channels! Would love to see you make 'pro improvements' to the deck at the end and see if you can refine it. I also think it would be cool for the other to watch at least one game on cam to see reactions :) love this
Honestly i was disgusted how it looks like the enemies only plays legendaries and every spell was either a board removal or filling the board 😂 What a heavy Power creep 😅
the video is 3 months old. im surprised you heard me 3 months into the future yelling "Deathwing!" ;D so many times that card has become a "heart of the cards" moment. game changing.
I haven't played Hearthstone in years man but as a lover of Yugioh, MTG, a little flesh and blood here and there, and formerly Yugioh, you bringing all these communities together for the love of card games is really enjoyable, earned my sub! Should I come back to Hearthstone? any good? I haven't played since I think mean streets of gadgetzan or maybe the set after.
Would've liked to see a post mortem where covertgoblue got to hear some feedback. Would've been fun watching him comment on the cards in action after he picked them more or less blind.
Could randomly pick a class and he has a few days to actually look through the cards for it, and make a deck solely on his picks. That would be interesting.
I've played hearthstone for close to 8 years and I admit, that this is the way I build a deck. See some random cards I like, stuff them in. Of course I get destroyed by the meta and when I do I just see what everyone plays and toss it into my deck. And then I go on to lose 6 games in a row, quit ranked and then play Battlegrounds! Classic Hearthstone!
Suggestion: Next time you want to do another "random/weird deck" video, you should let the innkeeper to build you one. Maybe have a guest pick the cards like this video?
Sometimes you need a carefully formulated deck to tear your opponent apart piece by piece... sometimes you need so much random bullshit that your opponent has no idea what's happening or how to stop it.
I know doing it like this is needed for content, but I would have liked to see him go in to a deck builder completely blind, just looking at the cards and asking question from Rarran if needed, no intervention from chat, simply Covert and his mind choosing cards.
Magic is so much mechanicaly deeper and overall better game (imo), but HS has the charm that makes me return to it from time to time (I also blame rarran vids on this).
As bad as I'm guessing this deck is (haven't played HS since it like came out and I was casual) it does have potential for the fantastic name of School of Rock
i just reinstalled hs after who knows how many years and man, this feels like a different game. my sense of value in arena is galaxies off the mark. anyway. thx for making hs seem like fun ^^
ngl i dont watch hearthstone content because the deck conceptualization is always so boring. This was refreshing and I would watch again if you made more of this type of content
To the control Warriors, you’re welcome
Surprisingly decent deck my guy, great content!

To make cgb happy just let him draw cards

As an mtg player i can confirm that there were lots of colors on screen. 10/10 deck.
We're playing a class with minions so bad that you need to play this to make them good. You are accurate.

Rogue deck gaming
I used to play the meta class with off meta decks purely for this reason. You see all sorts of misplays even at high ranks.
yeah not knowing what to play around is a real pain in the ass and often times they'll just let everything thru and then its too late

Naga Brute with Black Rock and Roll is becomes a 0 mana 28/28 and if you need a safe play, Dredging with the Elemental just gives you 20 armor.
Thats... Huh, that actually sounds pretty decent.
I think you mean Naga giant?
@@xyzen9673 it sounds cool but in reality its just a stat bomb with no taunt, and most games you can't lavagorger it

You guys have great chemistry, been loving these kinds of collabs! Keep up the great work Rarran, your effort and creativity doesnt go unnoticed!
Love seeing colabs with Covertgoblue ! Love his content and its amazing to see you bring him into the clown fiesta that is HS
Really fun to watch you play with a random deck like this. The games felt more creative than usual, too!
Should have had him search keywords to build around based on his play style like taunt, pirate, armor, deal, gains, etc.

Love this video. This was the kind of video that really makes me wish their was a backlog of these for me to binge.
been absolutely loving the longer form content lately rarran. this stuff rules
A late night rarran upload? A surprise but a welcome one ❤
Nice to see Doomsayer getting a chance to shine again
I would love to see this with reynad since he can see how much things have changed

NVM watching these matches I forgot how half the cards are based on entirely RNG garbage ass dice roll mechanics on if you win or lose lol

Could randomly pick a class and he has a few days to actually look through the cards for it, and make a deck solely on his picks. That would be interesting.
Gonna order some food and watch this one tomorrow. CGB is always great content, his opinions are truthful and he enjoys playing his way.
It so funny to see him suffer with stranglehorn heart and then get absolutely blown out by it in the next video XD
i have never laughed harder from a video. THE YOGG PLAYS MADE ME PUKE
Fun vid. Would love to see the magic expert watch/react to the deck playing as well
This was cool, I wish covertgoblue would have spectated the matches but I understand if it wasn’t feasible
You know this is gonna be fun as soon as he got warrior

No, neither standard nor battlegrounds are classic. All 3 of those are separate game modes.

As someone who’s never even looked at hearts stone before , I enjoyed this
Ahhh, watching Rarran punt rounds three, four, and six (while doing his best to punt five) was rough, he did the deck dirty XD
Jailer into Rivendare is likely the most interesting win con I have heard in a long while, possibly ever
At Yogg
"Just when I think you can't get anymore stupider, YOU TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!"
would be sick to see this again with other classes :)
favorite content in a while really liked this one
I could be wrong, but it looked like the prison of Yog was pulling from the pool related to the Target.
Rarran you're super based with the constant sim city 3000 music
old vid but watching you build the deck and then play it was cool
This was amazing. I want more of it!
Man, those videos with covert are awesome…
CGB you legend. This was super cool.

Sometimes you need a carefully formulated deck to tear your opponent apart piece by piece... sometimes you need so much random bullshit that your opponent has no idea what's happening or how to stop it.
and sometimes you just need Yogg to solo the game for you.
the only time I've enjoyed warrior content xD
You should now build a historic brawl deck for cgb
That... was.... surprisingly not that bad lmao
this was super enjoyable to watch, would be fun to optimize this deck but you have to keep like 50% off the deck or something
40:25 Rarran getting ready for a new industry
I haven't played Hearthstone since Ironbeak Owl was a spicy play....I'm that old
I like how you call him Blue like he’s the sole survivor from fallout 4 😂

More like Twitch Chat builds a hearthstone deck.
Playing with CGB is always fun, wish I have the opportunity.

Rarran calling CGB "Blue," & CGB never correcting him, KNOWING Voxy will laugh at him.
10/10

This was picante
I love chat suggesting most of the deck and then when they're asked to rate it they give it a 3
I like to play Blackrock and roll and then lorthemar to double it. Last stand to draw thaddius as an 84/84
CGB has a giga brain deck was positive win rate
You'll have to sacrifice to Yogg. He's clearly not a fan.
Where can I see the Twitch VOD? Rarran or CGB? I want to see Rarran explaining the classes.
