Thanks so much for checking out the video.

When my scruffy beard grows out I get the Jesus comment often and sometimes it sounds like a compliment other times it sounds like a half-assed joke. Sometimes I just get the get a haircut stares and stereotypes that I am some kind of criminal or always about to do something unlawful haha.

    • @VinJChi

Often in movies sometimes the long hair guy plays the good guy, a medieval style movie you get long hair guys portrayed on both sides of good and evil which I like. A lot of movies portray the long hair guy being in a biker gang or some a-hole drunkard at the bar getting beat up or some kind of criminal activity etc. plenty of movies where the long hair guy just gets totally battered. Thankfully you have plenty of movies that portray the long hair guy as a strong genuine kind and over all good character. Of course if you’re an a-hole you’re an a-hole regardless of the hairstyle bald short or long hair what matters most is the man you are on the inside that shines forth and makes all the difference.

Seriously, if a guy is making negative remarks about another guy having long hair, then he’s either jealous and/or he likes what he sees and hasn’t come to terms with himself 🤷🏽‍♂️

Great video! I find these stereotypes funny. I've had long hair for about a year, I've been vegan for 4 years, and I've been playing the guitar since I was 5 (now 28). So now I'm the perfect long-haired stereotype like Josh haha. I'm a bit of a shapeshifter because I love many different activities and styles. It's interesting to think back and recall being called a surfer, skater, meat-head, indie boy, posh preppy boy and quintessential vegan - all at different times throughout my 20s. I've realised much more recently the influence I can have over others' perceptions just from the way I look. I'm now trying to use that to my advantage professionally by appearing smart/stylish/well-groomed to appear competent, and a few eccentricities like long-hair and a colourful scrunchie to appear creative and unique.

Great video again, I like to think that us guys with long hair or growing out our hair, like to think outside the box! Which is definitely a good thing, and as for comparisons to people, last time I had long hair, everyone kept saying that i looked like a wwf wrestler! 😂 As long as it wasn't a comparison to Hull Hogans hair, then i can deal with that. Ps can you conciderer doing a video about mens long hair in different age groups ie 20s - 50s and how as you get older, you get questioned even more about being a older guys with long hair, as that's even more taboo!

21in all one length. I took the hits for three years. Now, everyone says: Wow, you have amazing hair. Im 63 and don't have any gray. Women just love it and actually, more guys tell me that they wish they could grow their hair. But, most guys give up within the first year. You have to commit or else, you'll cut it and then, you'll regret it.

I’ve had people asking about my growing it out but, thanks to the pandemic, most people assume it’s because I can’t safely get it cut right now. I started growing out my hair in late 2019 so it was perfect timing. My elderly mom has given me a little bit of a hard time (I expected it) but, in a side comment, she noted that I can really carry it off while she never could. As you both pointed out, we need to own our looks and not worry about what others think. Easier said than done sometimes but a solid goal.

If men weren't meant to have long hair, then why doesn't it stop growing at a certain point?! men and women are meant to have long hair, men also meant to have beards.....it's only institutions of religions/corporations/governmt (military) who has normalized short hair in the past several centuries. Long hair (and beards for men) isn't just meant for warmth, it is for protection, instincts and intuition. reason why women are always thought to be more "intuitive" or in touch with their surroundings was because of their gender, i disagree long hair is what give women this edge. (could be why some women are so OFFENDED or offput by men with long hair, cuz intuitively or subconsciously they know men now have that power/edge that women think they have over men-idk this is just speculation). hair is meant to be like "feelers" or antenna's for human beings, so they'll be in tune to their environment, have an extra sixth sense about people and things they come into contact with, be more spiritually-minded open and to absorb more energy/minerals/vitamins from their environment. the longer the hair, the more and sharper of these abilities you achieve. (it is thought in ancient cultures that these antennas don't get strong until about 2-3 yrs of uninterrupted growth)
if what all i'm saying is TRUE, is it any wonder why short hair has been brainwashed into our subconscious and culture!?! sounds like nothing but CONTROL to me. imagine if all men had beards/long hair.....we would all be intuitive, energetic, warriors!!! of course, the powers that be would not want this, so let's SHAME men for having long hair and make short hair the norm. just ask yourself, WHY does the military immediately shave your head when you join the squad?! because it's known in ancient cultures (including old testament of the bible) that cutting off a mans hair, weakens him, makes him more likely to follow orders and be servient rather than independent and fierce. Also, why do most professional businesses and corporations INSIST or DO NOT want male employees who have beards and long hair?!?! it's the same principle, most businesses want employees who follow orders without challenging the higher-ups. Long hair makes a man more independent, free-thinking, confident, energetic, fierce yet calmer, spiritual and rebellious by nature......you can see why corporations/religions/governments would not want these!! sounds like a conspiracy to me to strip men of their natural born powers but i digress.

I have long hair and wore my hair long for over a decade now. I must have gotten all the comments mostly good but plenty of bad ones too. Honestly the bad comments are not supposed to be responded with offense or defense but to reassure your confidence in yourself in a way that you’re not easily upset because you know yourself and that says a lot more than letting it get to you without having to even say anything really.

There is actually a deeper, occult reason why modern society has been conditioned to believe that long hair is for women only... your hair contains a lot of power and is sacred; it works like an antenna to the higher dimensions - the longer the better.

DISAGREE. i don't find a single woman who looks good with short hair. women look good with long hair, guys look good with beards and long hair. it's natural, the way God/nature intended it to be. if men weren't meant to grow long hair, then it would stop growing at a certain point, but it doesn't. Men and women are both meant to have long hair......i think cutting hair only came about or was introduced when religions came about centuries ago.
