    An informative post, clear and concise without any irritating background muzak. The correct torque for the drain and fill plug is 32 lbft or 43 Nm.

    Nice Vid Auto Knight. I have just bought a Brabus Turbo and have this to do. It looks like car had or has a leak from the drive shaft, the exhaust was covered in oil, probably thrown from the driveshaft. car smells after a drive. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce your vids.

    Damn, you glossed over the most important part for me, getting the fill plug off! Don't know how you got your extension bar so straight, the intercooler scoop on mine is very much in the way. My plug just will not budge, no matter how much pressure, or whatever I spray it with to loosen it up.....

    • @autoknight747
      @autoknight747 Год назад

      Was very hard to get a good camera angle in there due to the scoop. You need an unworn allen key/hex socket and a decent extension. The drain plugs have a very deep recess so it is important that the hex socket is fully in. I’ve never known one not to come undone!

      When I first got the Jeep I was looking at a lot of Grand Cherokee videos on RUclips and I came across your video where you introduce it. I really liked it and have watched all your videos since it's given me my confidence back to tackle all the repair jobs myself.

    Hi, quick question, does the transmission fluid has to be Synthetic 75w90 or can i use conventional one like 'Valvoline High Performance 75W90 Gear Oil'? Thanks

      I personally wouldn’t deviate from the manufacturer’s spec for something as crucial as this.

    Does the change of oil made any difference in gearbox behavior while driving? I have smart 451 with the same mileage and its gearbox a bit kicking at 1 and 2 speeds.

      @@vagavr Thank you very much! It feels a little smoother but it can be difficult to know if this is just my imagination. My main reason for changing was due to old oil carrying abrasive particles in suspension, which increase risk of wear. It’s good to know it has clean fresh oil in there.
