This is by far the best anybody ever explained how Medicare, Medicaid, Advantage and Medigap works, what they do and about how much they costs. Thank you Bob for making it easy for me to understand !
Thanks a lot Bob. I am confused no one tell me diffence for Advantage MEDICARE and Supplements this video explains as well. After saw your video explaining what to do exactly. I
I'm 66. Didn't file for Social Security or Medicare when I turned 65 because I didn't realize I had to, thought I could do it when I decided to retire. Thank you for these videos, they were very helpful. I believe I'm more of a Supplement/Plan G person. Thank you again for the info.
This is the one of the best or should I say the only video that I would recommend to anyone who’s gonna medicate it explains in detail especially if you cannot understand this broke it down for me and Bob you are a 10 star gentlemen thank you for your advice
Hey Bob, I’m turning 65 in the next 6 month so I have been looking at a lot of Medicare videos. BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO, I will be calling YOU for assistance! A truly WONDERFUL presentation. This is the first time I’ve understood my choices. Much, much appreciated. Thank you, Sir!
Mr. Medicare-Bob - Indeed, I enjoyed your RUclips-Presentation very much.... It is rather informative with a great deal of PASSION and KNOWLEDGE to have an in-depth explanation.......... Many Thanks,
Thank you so much for the explanation you gave. I’ve spent the last 4 months trying to make decisions about my healthcare, have received so much conflicting information from everyone I’ve talked to including Medicare and Social Security. This is the first time I actually felt like it all made sense.
I’ve had Medicare since 2017 and today is the first time I have actually understood what the plan is, how it works and what I am truly doing. I think I can have a piece of mind now!! I’m truly blessed to have my Medicare and my disability insurance. Thank you for this video message.😊
This really cleared up a lot of things for me- I am a Medicare Provider and have been for almost 30 years and never really understood it completely. Now I can actually help my ptns who say "don't need MC part A cause I'm still working until I'm 70, and will get it then -Yikes,!!!" And can get them with someone who will steer them straight. Thank you- excellent talk.
That's right, this man is a genius at explaining Medicare, and in fact he will explain to you any topic he chooses to be interested in! After his lecture, you really get a thorough and clear knowledge of the issue and in the most objective and non-commercial way! May be graded as the best in the field!
Bob- your video was superb, to say the least! Clear, concise,to the point and very easy to understand. Can tell you are a PRO in your industry. Do you plan on doing an update since this video is 3 years old now? Thanks.
Thank you for your information on different Insurance companies and how they work!!! I learned a lot for your videos. Have a blessed day because you deserve it!!!
I loved your video Medicare Bob. I will be taking the state exam next week to become an agent in NC. I am so ready to start this journey. This was so informative. I pray I will be able to help my clients like you. I would love to learn under you. Again thanks for the video.
Updated: While I knew the $ amts can change each year, I just found out that other major Policy changes took place. E.g. Medigap Plan F non existent as of 2020 for new participants.
Thanks Mr Bob I just came across ur video n thanks I appreciate u thanks I will be calling u n I send it to my sister n brother in law who will be calling also thanks
Hi Bob, thanks for the Video. A point of clarification- enrollment in Medicare is NOT automatic. You must call Social Security Administration to enroll into Medicare and have a 6 month window (3 month prior and after birth money) without incurring penalties.
Thanks for your comment. If someone is drawing ssc income, than enrollment in Medicare is automatic. If someone is not drawing ssc income, than you are correct, one would need to apply.
Sir. Excellent video, detailed explanations. Question -- I will retire as a Federal Employee and would like to know how my Federal Health Benefits plan is impacted by Medicare (Parts A, B, C, or D). In other words, if I elect FEHB in my retirement years, do I have the flexibility of opting out of Parts A/B, and choosing a Medicare Supplement/Medigap?
Question: my husband is still covered by his employer health insurance for a few more months. He suffered a stroke a few months after turning 65. We were able to sign him up for part A and B 3 months ago. We submitted the form showing he was covered by this private insurance.Since we still have great insurance I didn’t sign him up for Medigap yet. Is it too late to do that? I’m now worried. Ugh…
Thx for the info. I watched on my 44” TV & it was very difficult to see the green pen writing in the white board. It could’ve been the lighting, I don’t know. I just watched a man using a red marker on his white board & it was better. Very informative video tho
Thank you! My Team and I are happy to assist you. There is so much misinformation out there that it can all seem so confusing. Give us a call: 1-833-463-3262.
i have advantage plan, however unfoseen medical events happened in late2022, had 4 surgeries for skin cancer, i plan on switching to plan g, i wonder if i will be allowed? i am cancer free now per the surgeon.thanks
Excellent and easy to follow. Question. If I choose A, B and G and decide I would rather have Advantage, can I switch the next year? Question. Do you recommend Psrt D if a person is healthy and takes no medication? Do you just recommend for people who take regular meds daily? Can Part D be added at some later date if a prescription becomes a reality? Question. Does Medicare A and B cover Vision and Dental?
I’m turning 65 soon but my spouse is still a few years away. I’ll file for Medicare but is my spouse also covered by Medicare? My spouse is not working.
spectacular video ... thanks. quick question: you said the only time you can get a guaranteed issue supplement is upon initial eligibility. are you able to switch within the supplement plans, e.g. from F to G, during an open enrollment period, or is switching also not guaranteed after initial enrollment? thanks again, pete
Thank you for your question, when you turn 65 it is the only time in your life that one is eligible for any Supplement Plan that they want without medically qualifying without. There ar eother Guaranteed Issued rights, 7 of them to be exact that allow one to get certain Supplement Plans without medically qualifying. For example, if you have a Medicare Advantage Plan and then move out of service area then you are a GI for a Plan F if you went on Medicare Part A / B prior to 2020 and Plan G if you went on Medicare after 2020. Now, to answer your question, you will have to medically qualify to go from a Plan F to a Plan G and vice versa. Let me take some pressure off of you, Plan F, G and N are all AMAZING plans, so even if you get stuck in one of them, you are going to have great coverage. Also, in my experience, if a person is not healthy enough to change their Supplement Plan to a different one they are not upset because it means that their Plan is paying there bills while they are going through a medical issue. We only get "mad" at our insurance Companies if we are paying a ton of premium and not getting a return from them in the form of them paying claims for us. So basically, if you cant change it is because you are prob using the Plan a lot which means you are coming out a head. -Bob
Thank you Bob!! Your video is excellent!! It helped a great deal for someone new to Medicare. Any suggestion on what criteria to compare ....my husband is Medicare eligible and can choose between between being on my insurance from work HSA Plan and Plan G. Currently, the premium at work is $198.29 for Medical per pay. There are 2 pays periods each mth. The family deductible is 3000.00. The MOOP is 10K
As long as you are still working and he is on your coverage, he can defer Medicare Part B and not be penalized. You are in the position of evaluating if he should stay on your coverage or go onto Medicare and add the Plan G. Based on the deducible you mentioned and the MOOP, it's your call. Part B is going to be $165 a month, the Plan G is going to be around $125 (I would need more info to provide an exact quote), part d is going to be $25 (again not exact quote). So would you prefer for him to pay around $300-350 have a $226 annual deductible and $226 MOOP or pay the $198.29 and stay on your coverage? I dont think there is a bad answer here... Call our office and ask for Marcus Graham, 1-833-463-3262. He will provide the exact cost for the part D and the Plan G. His health is a factor, if he is healthy then I am 50/50 on what you should do. If he has health issues, than put him on Medicare and the Plan G.
thank you for your Service. If you have A and B, than you should get a Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plan that is designed to work with Medicare. These Plans are designed for Veterans and have additional benefits like: Dental, Vision, Hearing and some even pay you back around $100 per month back. If you would like help, call us: 1-855-368-4717.
Hi Bob does all this still pretty much stand true???? If not could you do a follow up video. My wife and i retire this year. But won't be 65 until next year. Do you have any suggestions on what to do until we turn 65???????
Thanks for the video I just turned 63 but wonder if I will go to another country for a few months would I be covered by Medigap And if I cancel for a few months is it an option to reenroll when come back
Hi Bob, this is a great video! I will be calling you when it is time for a Medigap policy. My question is that I have retired but I am not collecting SS yet and I Will be turning 65 in May 2022. I am currently on my wife's insurance and I will be on it until she retires in another three years. Do I just sign up for part A and hold off on part B until she retires? I do not want to lose that six month window. Any help would be great. Thank you!
You should get Part A automatically and you will not need to enroll into Part B until your Wife retires. At that point you will get your Part B and you will have your 6 month window for Medigap at that point.
You will need to enroll in Medicare with Social Security Admissions. It is NOT automatic. I am also turning 65 in May 2022, you must enroll within 6 months (window is 3 months prior or after your birth month) without any penalty. I called SSA in March, and SSA scheduled a phone interview for me late April to complete my enrollment. Key Point- you must call SSA to enroll in Medicare now, it’s NOT automatic. You can also save yourself some time by registering online to create an account with SSA to avoid looking for personal info when speaking with SSA. Good luck. 😊
I’m on Medicare part d but never used it; or take any meds or drugs from pharmacology, only Functional supplements. Should I stay on plan in case of emergency admission to a hospital?
I recommend keeping your Part D Plan, there is a penalty if you do not have one. I recommend getting a low premium part d since you do not take any meds. OR look into a $0 premium Medicare Advantage Plan that includes Part D at no cost. if you you like some help give us call: 1-855-368-4717.
I'm currently on my wife's work insurance, but she's retiring in Feb I was on her insurance when I became disabled. I'm also under 65 will I have to answer a bunch of health questions to get a supplementtal plan?
I was so confused, but now through u I understand more, I turned 65 this past November so I just chose something which was united Healthcare where I get my pension, but I don't know if I made a wise choise
Medicare supplement premiums do increase. In my experience, if someone gets a rate increase but they used their Plan a lot, they are not upset because they are getting value. When new to Medicare Part B this is the only time when everyone is automatically approved for a Medicare Supplement Plan. You are allowed to shop your Supplement Plan any time of the year but you will have to medically qualify to change your Supplement Plan. I always try to assist my Clients with getting the best priced Medicare Supplement Plan that they are eligible for.
2022 $170. Month std.. + January deductible $233.. Divide $233. By 12 months add to $170. Taken out of your SS check Actually paying averages about $190. Month
Anyone else 40 and just curious because they are such a planner that they are already thinking about what they will need to plan for when they retire??? No? Just me? Lol
If you are under 65, you would need to be on disability income for at least 2 years to qualify for Medicare. Otherwise, you can get health insurance through www.healthcare.gov

Will Medicare pay for radiation treatment and skilled nursing facility at the Same time?
