I received the mirrors today. Installation was super easy. Went for a ride and it makes a huge difference. Thanks a lot for the suggestion and the link on purchasing it.
Based on your recommendation i purchased these. They are not distorted. The only issue i have is they are thick enough that they are slightly proud of the plastic border.. I see it but i doubt any one else will. This is due to the thickness off the tape. Ali delivered them 20 days earlier than projected about 14 days from order. With shipping, the price was $31 CDN. The ONLY thing to watch out for is due to the shape "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi, after buying a Ninja 1000sx last year I found the mirrors one of the few bits I didn’t like, I would always double check with my head when changing lanes because I just cannot get a clear picture of what’s going on behind me, specially compared to the mirrors I had on the BMW I rode before. I also always « hinge » the bike a bit to get a better view of the rear. I saw your video, I orderer the product, installed it and while it’s still not perfect, probably it’s due to the position of the mirrors so far ahead, the view you get now is better. So I’m happy I did it and I thank you for the suggestion. One small thing, when you’ve got strong sunlight coming in from behind and slightly from the sides, you get a bit of glare or reflection from the edges of the inlay, probably because it protrudes a little bit more than the original glass which is embeded deeper in the housing. Cheers
Yes they are and at the price these were worth the try even if they did not work. £18 delivered to the UK in two weeks. Can't complain. Thanks for the comment.
Seems like a great idea for the bike! I’m interested in the adhesive backing and how reliable it would be in terms of holding up over time over the weather and regular washes!
Great point! I will be updating in my upcoming video's. We are having a bit of a heatwave at the moment so it will be a good test f it. Thanks for the comment.
This depends on how you fit them. If like me yu fit to the original glass then cat gut (nylon fishing line) can be used to cut the glue which sticks them together. A little like changing a car windscreen. Care has to be taken of course. Some heat will also help. If attaced in place of original then standard mirror replacement technique can be used.
@@RevsIT THanks so much for your prompt reply. So you think I could slide some fishing wire underneath these( and above the OE mirrors) and “cut down the glue”? Do you know if anyone has done it. I would think the glue would crystallize/harden and not allow the line to cut away ? Uhm… Thx again

By far, the most useful mod of all times!

Thanks glad to hear you find them as good as mine.

Never ordered stuff from aliexpress, but I'll definitely watch out for the curved mirror mods on the usual sales platforms now...
Good call, the ninja mirrors are a bit lacking, ordered a set, nice find.

The mirroers werre the first thing i hated on my z1000sx . They are too far , too small and almost useless.
I will try them
. did they stay on and how distorted are the images behind. you (ie: do objects appear closer or farther away/)?
Thx
Yes they have stayed on. No distortion or false distance any greater than standard mirrors. Thanks forthe questions.
Forgot to ask, Can these be removed in any way if you want to return to OE mirror view (heat gun, careful prying?)

@@louismartin4446 It is very similar to the tequnique used for debadging cars. Here is a quick video of it. ruclips.net/video/zkQkj1uvYXY/видео.html
