It is a tradition that if you win this, the other members of the society swim to the boat (often naked), congratulate the rowers and pull the boat down. Afterwards the society also gives a major party where basically it is common gesture that the whole society building gets demolished and robbed. I am part of Proteus Eretes and we even have a whole protocol, and budget for repairs, for what to do when we win the Varsity.
