this is actually a very interesting format because in game 1 you have to consider that losing might be beneficial if you shred less cards than your opponent, then you can back them into a corner for game 2 and 3

I thought that too but then I realized you would lose the cards immediately for almost any other kind of extra deck summon so it's the safest way.
Any extra deck based strategies is immediately badb
@@therranolleo468 XYZ is the best extra deck to run but the only good strategy is not to play which is why Paul won because he basically didn't play duel one and only used cheap beat sticks removal/ traps so he had a 10 card lead on Bestie even with throwing cards away in solidarity.

If it was like a real thing not just for meme, you'd really be incentivised to play 80 card decks lol. Or at least over 40. So empty jar probably wouldn't be terrible against an opponent with 40 haha
Honestly doing a best of 3 with this 'perma banish' effect is pretty funny, and you don't actually have to destroy the cards to not use them for the other games to keep replayability up.
It would be pretty satisfying though to play 4 cards and watch your opponent shred 15 cards at once lmao. Needle worm it up

As a skull servant lover, this rule set is one I won’t be touching with a 10 foot pole.
Also hopefully these two used a printer and white construction paper to create relatively cheap mock cards for shredding than actual cards

This would be a sick format. Maybe not actually spreading the cards but a best of 3 format where if your cards ever enter the gy or the banishment then they are placed out of game (back to the deck box for the rest of the match.
It already exists, it's called Ironman, but cards do get destroyed

Bout time somebody made a rule where if the card is gone, they stay, fkn, gone, forever until the game is done, tired of even the banish zone being a 3rd other deck option for ppl to draw cards from.

@@soullessking2126 true face down is still hard but banish otherwise is way to easy. but with all the meta type decks its only a matter of time before a necroface deck good enough that it makes the banished a full on 3rd deck.

This was brutal! I am very protective of my cards and something like shredding is unthinkable. Luckily these were all lower rarity and non meta cards, so you could probably get replacements easily. Made for good content at least

Technically, the rule is when a card gets sent to the graveyard, so being banished shouldn't shred a card
Needle worm, Card destruction and Pot of desires have to be the worst for this.

This is the cruelest game of Yu-go-oh! I’ve ever seen. So the best decks for this would be either a self-banishment deck for defense or a mill deck for offense. With a self-banishment deck, you can use it to have your cards dodge the graveyard and remove themselves from play allowing you to keep more cards in the long run; meanwhile a mill deck, even if it doesn’t win game 1, will do massive damage to your opponent’s deck that will severely hamper them in the next two games which will most likely take out the majority of his/her cards by the end of the match.
19:05 that isn't how limiter removal works, it only affects current monsters on the field not monsters summoned after limiter removal is used
Marshmallon no will be destroyed by battle but the paper shredder is something more you know
