How To Stop Text Messages On iPad

Let's disable text messages from being forwarded from your iPhone to your iPad if you just want iMessage on your phone.

I did this. The items under text forwarding are not selected. But when I send a test text to a friend, it shows on IPad right away
I watched another video that had me sign out of the IPad, but that’s annoying because if I want to view texts, or more importantly my goal is to delete messages off of iPad since it’s used by family but keep them on my phone

Strangely, this didn't work for me. Forwarding is already set to Off, yet they forward to the ipad anyway.

Hi Jocelyn! If you can't find the message settings, try going to Settings > Messages and check if the option to toggle off text message forwarding is available.
