After every new Theme update, I have to remove the following code from the header.php file to remove the search box ...
The plugin does not currently remove code, if you had code to add to remove the search box it could include that code. We would recommend reaching out to your theme's support and they may have a recommendation.
thankyou my friend
can you place the code on just one page or post only ?
If you paste code in the header it will be on every page, for adding code to a single page it would normally be best done in the body or using the WPCode plugin to limit where the code would be added
Im triying to add a snippet for free, no business plan, the theme astra requieres me to pay the business subscription in order to instal. is there any other way to instal a snippet without paying?
It sounds like you're on WordPress.com which sadly has its own rules while our tutorials are for WordPress.org sites. You can see the difference between the two in our article below:
www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/self-hosted-wordpress-org-vs-free-wordpress-com-infograph/
Unless we hear otherwise, there is not a simple method for adding header code with the free version of WordPress.com currently.
I have the same issue, but only for blog posts it asks me for a paid subscription, while my co workers are using the same wordpress platform, I don't get it why mine isn't free and theirs is. I am using Generate press theme. Have you found another free plugin please? thanks
How do I add multiple code snippets to the header? For example a tiktok and a meta pixel?
You would go to the next line after the first code and paste your second code.
you're a life saver
Glad to hear our video was helpful!
Great video, thank you!
You're welcome glad you liked it!
Hmm- Thanks for this video. Unfortunately, it isn't working for me. Is there an issue if I don't have a blank header? Sorry- I have no clue what I'm doing. I have some google code in there too. Or is that fine I leave a space between them? I'm trying to add an email pop-ip with Mail Chimp and it isn't detecting the code snippet. Thoughts?
It is fine if you have code in your header area, you would want to ensure any new code you add is below your already added code. If the code is not being detected then you may want to temporarily remove any code you have in there to see if it is an issue with the code itself.
Does somebody know how to add codes within blog posts? Because I then get the message that this is a paid function, thanks!
From the sound of it, you are using WordPress.com in which case we would recommend taking a look at our article below:

@@wpbeginner thanks , but I am hosted at Wpx and my other site is hosted at Wealthyaffiliate, so thats not it I think?
I love WordPress but it makes me crazy when a site is supposed to be completely customizable like Astra and others and you cannot change the heading or footer the way you would like. Also there are other limitations. And some of the themes you use don't allow you to change the (powered by) Info either. I can understand why. And they do deserve credit. But when you are recreating the site using their theme that's different. It would be nice as well to have some beneficial information on Subdomains, when to use them and why?
It changes based on the theme author who created the plugin as everyone has their own opinions and creating a fully drag and drop theme is quite difficult. For your question on subdomains, we would recommend taking a look at our article below:

Thank you so much for mentioning the Astra Theme. I'm working on my first website right and was struggeling with the customizability of the theme I picked, now you just made it so much easier for me!
thank you
You're welcome!
Is this pro feature
No, you can use the free plugin for this.
@@wpbeginner not everyone can, I can't either, does it depend on the country maybe?
Can you run PHP code in the header?
Yes you can!
this is not working
It would depend on what you're attempting to add. If you are trying to add something visual to your header then that is not the goal of this tool when used in this way, it is for scripts like analytics or tracking pixels.
@@wpbeginner thanks i have solved the problem
