Trans persons are so misunderstood and maligned not only by the hetero world but also some within our own community. They are beautiful, artistic and extremely talented individuals that deserves respect not only from the hetero world but more so within the LGBTQIA+ community. I've finally met my First ever FTM Trans and it was an Amazing experience to say the least! In addition, our world would be a much better and kinder world if we ALL just learn "to live and let live!"

What’s the drag show etiquette in Tokyo? In the states, we tip a queen during a performances. Is it the same in Japan? Would love a video on how one should conduct themselves during drag shows and in night clubs in general.
My 5th trip to Tokyo (and Japan for that matter) is in 2 weeks. I used to love drag shows in Dallas the Rose Room. IS there a schedule for May for drag shows and echoing what someone else asked earlier, what is the drag show etiquette regarding tips and such.
I'm really pleasantly surprised to hear that the school where Stephanie is working at doesn't seem to mind nor treat him poorly based on his presentation. I know for a fact that where I live people would be losing their minds over a gay person (and even more so, a gnc person) working with children regardless of how good said person may be at their job and making all kinds of ludicrous claims, so its really nice to hear things seem to be a lot more chill over there in that regard for lgbt+ people!
Omg the trans woman at the beginning was so pretty! As someone else not cishet, its really interesting to hear the experiences of fellow lgbtqia+ around the world. There is so much to know and learn about the world, the jumpstart program sounds super cool but also scary at the same time since you'd likely have to move. Welcome back among the living Andrew. It is good to see that sweet death loosened his grip upon you enough that you were able to escape his grasp and survive your gay cruise experience. You have got to be careful when it comes to those multiple dances gay party events. They can take a whole lot out of you and before you know it, you are flat on your back with an IV going in your arm. Not the most ideal way to get flat on your back in those situations (ask Meng about it). The look on Meng's face when the second interviewee said, "I smell gay" was priceless. Meng looked her up and down as if questioning if he should be smelling something.

I always wondered/feared what it would be like to go back now that I no longer sound and exactly look like a cis girl. I'd like to know if trans folks who don't "pass" or don't look super binary can go to public sento & onsens too because that's something I miss dearly. Or do they have to go to kashikiri only? Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see my long-time friend & ex-roommate (NATTMARA/夜魔羅) performing at 12:42 ! 😍

We used to travel to Japan often. Now, with the rise of nationalism and their love of dangerous homophobic conspiracies, I just don't see it happening again.

better aske people how they rate being LGBTQAI+ in Japan and back home. Is it better or worse? You can add +1. quality of life, 2. quality of work, 3 social life and openness for foreigners.4. life &work prospects? So not just LGBT but other sits of life.
About 20 years ago Thailand did comprehensive research on the topic of transgendered and discovered that our brains are hard wired for the gender that we are. However, in some rare instances the brain maybe hard wired for the incorrect gender and thus that is what drives someone who is transgendered. They do not feel comfortable being the gender that they were born with. The AMA and Pediatricians in America picked up on this and started to treat this type of issue by providing gender transition care once a diagnosis had been made. So this is where we stand at today. Add to that that most drag queens are transgendered and hopefully they can move forwards in getting some transgendered support. Now, onto to another topic, naturally most gay men are not attracted to females however I have found that bisexual guys do like being around trans females. For me, I am gay and thus never hang around females regardless nor do I care to see a drag show. Sorry but I am a guy and the people who I am interested in are also males. There has been a lot of confusion about all of this lately, even in the community. Not to mention a lot of straight people seem to think that I want to dress like a female because I am gay.
I find her comment disturbing. She shares that she started hormones without a diagnosis, implying that she didn't have to sit with a trained mental specialist, etc.. that's how vulnerable teenagers end up regretting their choices. Granted, she's an adult, but aldults also don't always make the wisest decisions either, as you might know yourself. She looks happy, but what about other people? Would they follow this example as well thinking it is the right path?
The amount of detransitioners is statistically miniscule. The vast majority of Trans folks happiness and health improves from access to medically transitioning. An adult shouldn't have to justify their medical decisions to a dr. If someone cis wants to get birth control or hormones to stave off menopause or a cis man wanting t to feel more masculine (i.e. gender affirming care) they're not put through the ringer to get that care
When people getting tattoos (especially face and eyeball), piercings, body modifications, extensive plastic surgery etc are subjected to even half of the requirements to 'prove that they won't regret it' get back to me, until then this ridiculous double standard of making sure that trans people don't regret it whilst people regret so many tattoos that cover up tattoos, blacking out and attempts at tattoo removal aren't exactly rare, not to mention all the plastic surgery regrets etc. Stop with the feigned worry.
It’s easier for adults to transition than kids. If you’re under the age of 18 it’s extremely hard. And it’s kind of dumb to be worrying about detransitoners. Not that many people detransiton and if they do then it’s because of unaccepting family and friends
Everyone has an Adam's apple tho... The difference is that it's usually more protruding in amab people than on afab people, however, some cis(het) women do have a visible Adam's apple too.
