In my family of 5, 3 are IK supporters. One is Neutral lol and I’m against PTI for all the same reasons as the speakers on this Podcast. Imran Khan has a huge brainwashed, fanatical following among uk Pakistanis. There is absolutely no reasoning with them. He’s beyond reproach and everything is an amreeki saazish against him, and even the break up of his marriage with Jamima Goldsmith is blamed on Nawaz Sharif, because heaven forbid any woman in her right mind would never think of leaving mr golden balls unless there was a nefarious agency behind the scenes pulling the strings and making her divorce him.
My septuagenarian youthia parents will not be reasoned out of their immovable belief that IK is not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy.

Reason they were banned constitutionaly because they wouldn't compromise on what prophethood means , which means either the constitution of Pakistan gives them the helm or kicks them out , you can't have a state within a state. Everything is political. If they had retracted their prophethood claim, they could retain land and continue like so many other dynasties. It's nothing to do with religion it's old school land politics of the sub continent. To this end they are willing to bow to British imperial interests as well as garner israeli support. Thank you for this analysis. I am really trying to learn more about the Pakistani political system and listening to you both is really helpful in this regard. Your notions of strong, beautiful and English speaking men inspiring respect from the middle classes in Pakistan rings true. Everyone in Pakistan hates the Brits and Americans but they still want to be able to talk to them! Imran Khan is massively revered by Pakistanis of my parent's age, so people in their 70s, they have brainwashed their children (my mother used to say, yeh app kay mamoon hain when we were children) that generation has bought up the young people running about after PTI now. Never elect Cricketers, footballers, actors or reality tv businessmen! Their egos will for sure be bigger than their zahaanat. You are right, Imran Khan is a brand and knows how to manipulate an already susceptible public. This is how the Brexit debate was won, appealing to emotions, rule Britania, national pride, we can go it alone Bakwaas. Europe sub evil ka baais hai! It was like the turkeys voting for Christmas because those who will suffer the most from Brexit are the ones who voted for it.
The most offensive thing I have heard from PTI supporters is the notion of Imran Khan being at the level of naboota! Astakhfirulla!! Yeh human tou is age kay human's me bhi elevated nahi socha ja sak ta. Aap iss bunday ko oon hustion kay saath compare karein hain jin ki lives Allah kay peghaaim per based theein appey promotion aur khudparusti pe nahi!!
Stay away from politics, no good will come of it. You are both doing more good doing what you are doing. I appreciate your bravery and talents. Keep going! You have support from outside and inside Pakistan!

You are right about Imran Khan's policy about how many people credits him. It's mainly narcissism. If you remember his video meeting this kid who cried when he saw him and gifted him a ring, IK couldn't look directly in the kid's pure intended eyes for more than a second, didn't remember his name had to ask thrice. A person of honour would always lower himself to the ground than anybody giving them respect.

Really enjoyed this podcast, hosted by my two favourite Pakistani social/political commentators. Not that I have much hope in convincing them, but I will still be sharing with my geriatric youthia parents.
Great book recommendation from Muzamil Sayed. I would like to add a few more to this list.
    - 1984 and Animal Farm
    By George Orwell
    - The Handmaids Tale
    by Margaret Atwel
    - Sapiens (a brief history of Humankind)
    By Yuval Noah Harai

Sapiens a great history book and the farm too is like pak oriented everything book.
But main reason i am here is just to tell you that i cant recommend even this video to my elder youthya brother.

He shares all their worldview and their agenda. It is just that he was so monumentally incompetent that by continuing to support him the establishment would have lost face like never before and would never be able to come back from it. At the moment Pakistan is gasping for breath economically as soon as it has some respite they will stop being neutral.
