I believe that GM in general will rue the day they decided to go in the total EV direction. EV is certainly a nice option, but not for everybody. It would be a wiser decision to produce more hybrids since the infrastructure for past-charging EV stations is years away from being anything close to viable.
Really like the look of this in and out, but the price has always been a 'swing for the fences' overshoot by GM marketing. It was NEVER worth 75k (15-20k overpriced), and it's likely the main reason why so many don't even consider it. Priced in X5 territory means you need to step up and this never did.
I usually don't like Detroit nameplates because of rough styling, low quality, and terrible driving dynamics. But I've been driving the XT6 rental for a week now (free upgrade from VW Atlas) and I am very impressed with it. Very solid, luxurious yet sporty driving dynamics, an overall world-class car!
@@BrianKenney-wc4qd sorry but you have no clue. The Japanese technology is very very good. And I’m a GM guy. I’m just stating facts. The Genesis is a great vehicle. Go research Scotty Kilmer, and type in some information about what he thinks on the Genesis or Hyundai.
The person who is in the market for a Cadillac XT6 doesn’t want or need the Escalade. Also, an Escalade may not fit in your garage (or budget). Note: the XT6’s true competitor is the Lincoln Aviator.
So I am a chauffeur and I drive these on a weekly basis and man that 3rd row seat is pretty useless. First of all you it’s made for small humans and second of all if you do use it then you are giving up 70 percent of your trunk space, but overall a super great driving car
Thanks for re-reviewing the Cadillac traverse, I mean Chevy enclave, I mean Buick xt6? I often wonder why this vehicle exists, but it is the best looking of the bunch.
No they all don’t do it. Genesis, Mercedes, BMW don’t do it. Maserati doesn’t either. Land Rover doesn’t do it, except for the Velar. So no that’s an all wrong statement.
I guess GM figured since the suv craze is in full effect they could just take a Chevy traverse and Cadillac it all out and ask 75k .. 🤣🤣.. the marketing is WAY OUT OF TOUCH as that it cannot stand up to its rivals.. the only reason I see a purchase here is because of the styling .. which is actually really good .. what a miss step GM
all the negatives about this vehicle and other Cadillacs. I heard a lot of people complaining about the same points you mentioned. too bad. such a brand as Cadillac should be doing better than that!! in the end, this is the kind of Vehicle to lease. I have a friend who owns Cadillac 2013 XTS AWD. before he hit 100K miles on it. needed a transmission replacement. $6500 and it took about 3 months to find one. that's why I look at them vehicles from GM but not buy one. not ever.
It's not worthy of the Cadillac name, whatever that means today. There are so many better choices in this segment for the money. This is nothing but repackaged GMC/Buick/Chevy. There is no reason to buy this other than a big discount. Overpriced laggard vehicle.

This is one sleek looking SUV.
Absolutely stunning 💯👌
I would take a Genesis GV80 3.5T with the Advance package for the same price as the Caddy

Ever own a Hyundai? I wouldnt
@@BrianKenney-wc4qd I own a Genesis G70, and LOVE it
@@ericbliss6354 Have you had it for longer than 3 years yet?

$75k? That’s creeping into Escalade territory. You can probably spec a 2wd one for about $80k!
Used 2022 cost 33k
Is it just me or are cars getting crazy expensive? $75k seems super rich for this car. With taxes, fees, registration…$80-85K??!! Yikes.

And the Lincoln destroys it.
It looks pretty good, but at 73k, it's overpriced.
Do the middle seats slide forward to provide a bit more room for the occupants of the back seats?
Yes, they do.

is it worth buying this as a chauffeur car for two or three passengers? I am looking to buy it but not sure
For my profession it would be a great vehicle.
Livery ?

It does have the look!
Like the Toyota RX err Highlander or the Honda MDX or is it a Pilot. Let's not forget the Infiniti/Nissan twins. They all do it.

@@jdm1039 No. If you meant just those then you should have said just that. Try again.
That’s way too much for a glorified Chevy Traverse.
For the best use of money, the Buick Enclave Avenir is a better buy if you want GM.

Rather buy a GMC Acadia Denali. Literally same car for 15k cheaper.

I'll take '23 Enclave anyway over this.😢
It reminds me a bit of funeral cars 😅
Rebadged old Buick Enclave. No thanks.
