I wouldn't say EXO's target audience is teen girls- they really grow with their fans, and I think (besides their style of music appealing to a wide range of people) it's more of a multi-generational group. Imo, they can have a more sensual feel than some other groups, with their R&B sound and the way they dance- but have the versatility to do the fun, poppy genre kpop is known for. They definitely do have young girls as fans, but I'm Sehun's age (he's the youngest, at 26), and many are older than me. They're a popular group for both male and female fans. Over all, they have a more mature style, even in their music videos (from color scheme, to wardrobe & choreo). *Conclusion: we stan.*

EXO K (Korean) and EXO M (Mandarin). EXO L is the letter between M and K. Also for EXO-Love. Now there's 9 members and they promote together with the exception of Lay who can't due to the tensions between China and South Korea.
