You are able to, unfortunately FB restrict the use of their API when using a second streaming destination. That means you can't use the login from vMix to create the FB stream, you need to do it manually. You'd need to follow the MANUAL steps here- www.vmix.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx/93/how-do-i-stream-to-facebook-live-with-vmix
Thanks for this Tim I have a quick question please though not directly related to this. I run latest version of vMix on Lenovo Y700 4GB dedicated graphics card I want to stream to Facebook and other platforms. My camera is Sony XDCAM pxw x70 and I connect it to my laptop through an HDMI to AV converter then a USB HD TV stick. The image seem slightly blurry on the computer as opposed to the one from the camera, what can I do because it greatly affects the chroma key since I want to stream live with virtual sets. Sorry about the long write-up. Thanks in advance
Hey vMix! Good Job! :) I have a question. Can I do somehow with vMix: Side chain ducking? I mean, use audio compressor to push down volume when another input increase? I mean, for example: Background music will be controlled by microphone.
Kind of! We have a Trigger in vMix for OnAudioMeter, you can select it by going into the input's settings>Triggers and selecting it from the dropdown. It will allow you to perform a function based on a db level. If this isn't what you're looking for, feel free to email us via our website or submit a feature request via our forum.
@@vMixhd Hi I'm unable to record and stream at the same time, the recording seems to stop the stream so I have to stop the recording for the stream to start back up, is there anyway to fix that? As I would like to stream and record at the same time. I have the basic Vmix 23.0.0.51
I'm not sure I'm understanding the part about using the video cards. Are you saying that you have 2 video cards in the computer and you're using one card for the live stream and the other card for the recording? Or are you just using one card that does both the streaming and the recording?
Just using 1 card. Later series Nvidia GeForce cards allow you do encoding on the GPU. This means you can do 2 of the encoding tasks in vMix on the graphics card. You might choose to do one record and one stream on the card which frees up your CPU from having to do the encoding for your production.
vMix thanks for the reply. I just tried vmix for the first time using the trial for a live event. I used an i5 computer with ddr3 andan old gtx 750. It was a pretty basic dance recital and worked really well. I have a 3 night state pageant that I'm live streaming that will be much more demanding with lower thirds and video clips. Because of this video I decided I didn't want to take any chances and switched to an i7 computer with ddr4 memory and a nvidia gtx 1070 card. Previously I was using wirecast. So far I'm really liking vmix and will for sure be purchasing it when the trial is over. The trial is fully functional right?
Yes, the Trial is a fully functional version of vMix PRO. If you're looking at purchasing, just take a look at the comparison chart to see what version you might need. A lot of the times, you may only need the HD Edition.
quick question easy question . how did you create cartoon tim . and we notice that when we use xsplit with vmix the cpu is overloaded using a logitech c920 on a yoga lenovo 4 gig ram the picture is okay although the audio is extremely laggy looking forward to a reply because most don't .i hear you guys do awesome and appreciated ..
Cartoon Tim uses Adobe Character Animator on a PC and then I input the cartoon via NDI into my production. The actual character was made for us by a company called Digital Puppets. The Yoga is probably going to be under-powered for live video production with vMix. vMix heavily utilises GPU processing so the Yoga probably can't quite cope with the production.
@@vMixhdThank you kindly appreciate the reply ,Tim or vmix team. ya it all works well its seems the vspit is sucking the energy . If i was to make chroma key videos the just upload .what setting would you recommend.. to get the audio in sink . because this means i could still use it , but upload as appose to steaming correct . looking forward to utilise this puppy . i do have a nvidia geforce graphics card on here but the issue is the audio sinking . Warmly from us .
Are you running vMix and Xsplit? It would be best to use one or the other for your video production. That way you'll cut down on your computer's resources. It may be easier to just email us with what you're trying to do, so we can reply a little easier- www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx
Hi, you can save them Presets. In the top left hand corner of the interface you'll see New, Open, Save. You can save a preset by clicking on Save. Here's a quick video- ruclips.net/video/jsch-cQnunw/видео.html

This is great!! This answered my question 100%. Any idea why I can't stream to facebook and twitter/periscope at the same time?

RUclips will give better search results on higher quality files, is another good reason.
Thanks for this Tim
