Try using a plugin called "gpu"! That should fix the blurriness I believe. If not I know that the plugin called "117" will definitely work because that is what I use - this is the HD graphics plugin. But yeah if you're not a fan of the hd graphics then the "gpu" plugin should work too!
@@rawtrout3402 Damn, well I believe that you can also increase the OSRS UI size if you increase your windows UI size. But I'm not sure because I have never actually done it myself. This would also only work for the modern resizable mode and not fixed mode.
A lot of people play the game in fixed mode and keep the window smaller anyway. Keeps the distance between things smaller. I like to keep it small when I'm doing more intense stuff. but most of the time I maximise the window and put stretched mode on with "integer scaling" and "keep aspect ratio" turned on since it doesnt stretch but rather just make 1 pixel = 4 pixels. I do use GPU plugin too which makes the main view less pixelated if you can get that working
For me, mastering demonic gorillas was probably the most fun engaging way to get some real practice. I recommend bringing a 4 way switch for it and it will train you for basically all other pvm really well
As a somewhat new player, this is the kind of guide I need to get me over the learning curve (or mountain) that is needed to get into the eng game bosses and raids. Thank you!
I'm stoked to hear it 😎! For the past two years I have been grinding to get better at this game and feel like this would be the video that could have really accelerated my learning process, so the fact that you guys find it helpful is literally the reason I enjoy making videos :). Thanks for the comments
One huge hint from a 400 kc solo cox ironmeme, you don't need to be perfect with mouse accuracy. A lot of the time you can get away with learning how to zoom in, making those tiles much larger targets when you don't need to see everything. Finding that perfect ratio of "large enough to click" and "enough information" is really useful especially when doing intense activities like corrupt gauntlet. I don't need to know what the other tiles looks like on the other half of the screen if I misclick the lava tiles. In summary, figure out how zoomed you can be for a piece of content and not misclick. Then use around that every time.
Thanks for the vid. My boss progression went Muspah, vorkath, gauntlet and zulrah. I died to the muspah 25 times before I started to get my first consistent KC but after that most mid-high level PvM was a cake walk!
Such an incredible video man. Really well done! More people need to see this. I come from computer and console FPS games... doing aim trainers regularly etc., and it took me forever, really until the CG to realize how important the 'clicks' were in this game. And how far I was from where I could be. Nice work.
It might seem dumb or obvious to some, but arranging your inventory the way you did made me realize it'd make it so a 2h to dual wielding gear switch and back wouldn't send the shield off into a random inventory slot. That's something that most pvmers probably thought was too obvious to tell me but was clearly part of the reason I kept fumbling in TOA. Like "goddamn it where'd my defender go?!" Not a good distraction to have when you're trying to do Akka.
This sounds like exactly what I've been needing for years. Watching people do things like six way switches and somehow never having 2 or 3 of the items fail to swap makes my head spin. true tiles and metronome have helped a lot to x-ray into the real game everyone else has been playing. The mouse movement and interface management have been huge struggles trying to go from RS3 to this, where RS3 they removed the need to re-click your target after most actions and literally everything can be keybound, you actually use your mouse for almost nothing except movement (and even then abilities like Surge and Dive reduce the need to concern yourself with the exact tiles you'll be on along the way)
This is such a unique, but vital video for new and returning players. Love the pacing, information, and delivery in the video. Love to see more like it
if only I saw this video a week ago when I was learning muspah. I totally agree with your comment on the boss, a great way to get better at mouse movement and pathing! Looking forward to trying out the gauntlet next
Frick ya 😎😎!! I was really hoping that more experienced players that watch this would agree with the information I put out in the video. I made this video with the thought that 2 years ago I had no idea how to actually get better at the game whenever I tried following a guide and still couldn't do it.
This is the video I’ve been looking for all this time. I always look up guides on how to get better at pvming and none of them went on depth about this. I don’t care about practicing at dagannoths if I don’t know the technique to begin with
Fantastic video, more people need to be talking about the core skills like this! One more ESSENTIAL point for the mouse settings section: make sure to set windows mouse sensitivity to "6/11" or lower. There are 11 slots that windows mouse sensitivity can have and anything *above* the 6th option will interpolate your mouse movement. This is bad because it rounds small movements and makes them "jagged". You can find more information about it on old shooter threads and forums (can't really share links in a YT comment). If you have a gamer mouse that can modify the sensitivity, go ahead and do so, making sure the Windows mouse setting is 6/11 or lower. Even without additional custom DPI controls, 6/11 is still a decent speed to begin with and you shouldn't really need much higher than that for OSRS.
Great video man. I was in a discussion about skill transfer from FPS games to OSRS and I had to explain that there was at least some skill transfer since it all boils down to accuracy and precision with clicks. Linking this video during that discussion would have helped me get my point across better. Also: hello fellow redragon user. Is that also a Redragon keyboard? It looks like the one I have, the K552 Kumara.

Fantastic video. The breakdown of the different types of movements makes a lot of sense. I also really like how you set out a path on how to get better and what your personal experience was like.
I HAD NO IDEA STRETCHED MODE EXISTED!!! Honestly I always thought all those Wooxes and Wooxettes were just playing in the comically tiny windowed mode that on my screen would probably take up 1/8th of it.
Very nicely laid out video (thanks, youtube algorithm)! Glad you included physical mouse settings since acceleration and even just how someone holds the mouse makes a huuuge difference in the practice as well. Pretty much all my mouse practice was done at gauntlet and it genuinely is one of the best ways to practice, to the point a buddy of mine even requires two corrupted kc before taking anyone on a tob learner. Helps build up a ton of confidence for great money! Nice work
If you're really struggling to click enemies correctly, tag the entity through the Runelite shift click tag option. This will help you find the correct hitbox to click (or avoid, if you want to step under a multi-tile enemy). And don't forget to turn off Windows' mouse acceleration option (Mouse settings/Additional mouse options (Mouse Properties)/Pointer options/Enhance pointer precision OFF). Many gamers have fallen victim to this age old trick from MS and wondered why their mouse was so inconsistent. Also, learning pathing is important, as you pointed out. Knowing where to click to achieve a desired result is the first step to achieving said result.
This is sick, I have about 1300EHB between my 2 accounts that interact with the bosses that actually contribute to EHB and I never really thought about my mouse movement much. I’ve been playing since 2004 so it’s always just been 2nd nature but i might not plank as hard if I actually focus on mechanics instead of just pure instincting through everything in the game Never turning off my mouse acceleration tho, it’s a part of me.

Here's what I did that immediately made me 100x better at the game. I set my mouse to 400 DPI, then I went and bought an obscene amount of grimy herbs and cleaned them for 10-15 minutes every day. If I have the metronome on, I can 2 tick an 8 way switch pretty consistently now. Before I figured out the importance of a reasonable DPI, I literally struggled to even do a 5 way switch while killing the gargoyle boss at all. Misclicks all over the place. I wasn't even worried about ticks back then, I just wanted to actually put all the right gear on at all. I think it's reasonable to use up to 800 DPI, but anything higher than that and I don't believe you'll be able to form muscle memory.

"so how do you play RuneScape?" " Oh. Yeah just click around on the screen. Hf" Came back to say that when practicing gear swaps and movement I highly recommend utilizing the lower half of your inventory so that it lines up better with your prayer switches/magic spells/ spec bar.
I still haven't really got into pvp yet so that is why I never recommended it in the vid. But when you do gear switches in the bottom of your inventory, if you switch to a 2 handed weapon does your offhand item go back to the top of your inventory if there are open spaces? Is there a plugin or anything to prevent that from happening?
@@littletwinz iirc it will unless Jagex updated it. Swore I remember it being polled. It used to be super annoying especially back when switching quickly, and this will still happen in PvP occasionally, would just throw your items around instead of being equipped. This is where anti drag comes in but it's blocked for PvP lol. The only real suggestion I can recommend for this is to have barbarian vial smashing turned off so that when you switch your off hand will be as close as you can get it to your gear switches. If it is the case than you just have to drag it back to position quickly
@@aTribeCalledCasey it's not that it really matters so much as it being easily accessible but it's really going to be what you're comfortable with and how you choose to practice it. Imagine your whole mage book is just a giant inventory sized barrage haha. Never miss click that icon again.
Pro tip, set DPI settings once and never again in your lifetime change it. Remember running around with a pistol to train your aim... People be like, who is that idiot? 2 weeks later they be slaughtered by the same pistol runner. lol

Pvmers made me relearn all my pvp clicks. I have to learn how to pk with spec orb now because it’s superior but was never a thing when I first learned to pk. Sooner or later the pvmers will come after autocast staffs and not force you to reapply autocast in pvp.
it's me and my trackpad vs the world
Is cursor tiny or client stretched to 200%?
Cursor is tiny, I only ever stretch the client to 70% or below. I actually made my cursor bigger in the middle of making this video because I noticed how small it was in the video 😂
800 dpi is best all around
I play exclusively on mobile, why did I watch this lol
play fixed mode and instantly be a god
It's the biggest reason why I'm bad at the game. My clicks are so slow and pitifully inaccurate.
unfortunately oldschool runescape is a lifestyle, not a game. ahaha. like with the mouse setting is the highest or fastest what needs to be worked towards? for the most benefit
reddragon mice have software?
god, why
9:20 what u doing with ur middle finger
honestly no idea 😂. First time I've filmed my mouse hand so idk if I regularly do that, I don't think I do ???
My problem is seems like I click and it drags the item haha
Check out the runelite plugin at 2:41! It is called anti-drag, make sure you have the on shift only box unchecked and you shouldn't have any troubles dragging your items by accident 😁
I just came back after a 4 year break and wow. I’m horrible. Never was really crazy good but I’m just saying. I’m shit now
Wish I had a mouse and keyboard #mobileonly
600 seems bit low?
I switch between 400 dpi and 600 dpi depending on what I'm doing!
@@littletwinz it really doesnt look like 4-600 dpi like you said, with the amount your hand moved on the demonstration the mouse software seems to be increasing its actual dpi
@@WayStedYou You know that makes a lot of sense because when I used to player FPS games I definitely was moving my mouse a lot more lol. I'll have to look into it
decrease the client size dont upsize the HUD!
"so how do you play RuneScape?"
" Oh. Yeah just click around on the screen. Hf"
Came back to say that when practicing gear swaps and movement I highly recommend utilizing the lower half of your inventory so that it lines up better with your prayer switches/magic spells/ spec bar.
Magic spells resized and prayer resize soon so I’m sure it won’t matter soon
@@aTribeCalledCasey it's not that it really matters so much as it being easily accessible but it's really going to be what you're comfortable with and how you choose to practice it. Imagine your whole mage book is just a giant inventory sized barrage haha. Never miss click that icon again.
Pro tip, set DPI settings once and never again in your lifetime change it.
Remember running around with a pistol to train your aim...
People be like, who is that idiot? 2 weeks later they be slaughtered by the same pistol runner. lol
anti drag? worst plugin ever, imagine if u want move fast ur items with drag is so shit, only with shift
You want good clicks? Master Hallowed Sepulchre.
Dope video my guy! Got my first Zulrah kill after practicing 🫡 earned yourself a new subberino
First of its kind for osrs, well done!🫡
