Great job on this piece! Nice steady tempo - great drum setup at 3:45! Love the bones on REAL bucket mutes! Nice trumpet and piano solos, plus great lead trumpet...you nailed the high G at 5:57! :-)

「フレックル･フェイス」1975年8月26日、27日ロス･アンジェルスにてレコーディングされたカウント･ベイシー･オーケストラのアルバム、ベイシー･ビッグ･バンド（パブロレコード）の中のSide1の2曲目の曲ですね。
ベイシーのリフではトランペットセクションのミュートは使用していませんが、これはこれでまた良い感じに仕上がってます。
サビの部分のベイシー独特のあのパンチの効いた力強いソリとそれとは逆のソフトな優しいソリの使い分けがそのまま再現出来て、素晴らしいアンサンブルになっています。
抒情的なボビーミッチェル（トランペット）のソロを感じさせてくれるトランペットのソロです。
残念なのは、譜面台は置いてあるのにフレディ･グリーン役のギターが座って居ないのは何故？･･････。
リズムの刻み方を聞き比べたかったですね。
この曲を選ぶなんて・・凄いセンス！原曲が大好きなので楽しんで聴きました。
