    I’ve been watching videos about the falling step and no one could explain why gravity would help your power, but you gave the best explanation! I thought that going upwards would make my punches harder but actually it makes them slower.

      They look deadly but he didnt move the heavybag that much when he punched. Heavy bag don't lie.

      @juliansanderson839 3 года назад +6

      @@justinmontalvo2819 making the bag sway is not a good indication of power. You need penetrating force, not just impact to move it. His punches could definitely be harder, but he was bending the bag pretty well.

    I understand leg Power when coming up using ground force but I always thought that sitting into strikes used gravity as a second linear force! Dropping into the strike

    • @PUNCHwithPOWER
      @PUNCHwithPOWER  Год назад +1

      Good thoughts. Problem with trying to transfer gravity into the strike is that it’s non-modifiable. Can’t be increased. I feel it’s much better to use the biggest muscles in the body to generate force for the punch. The trick of course is to use leg power without being off balance and exposed (standing tall). A quick drop allows you to do that.
      Just putting (hopefully) a better explanation to a technique that old timers have been teaching for years

    Coach ,Do you think Punchers Are Born or Made ?!!
    And Can Any one Be a KO Artist?!

    • @PUNCHwithPOWER
      @PUNCHwithPOWER  4 года назад +10

      Dody Ali great question. To be a HUGE puncher, you have to be born with it. But most people can be VERY BIG punchers.
      Bottom line - you can increase your punching power by an extremely large degree through proper training and technique

      Dody Ali those are some big punchers. My advice...don’t worry about that now. Just keep improving yourself, getting better at BOXING. And if you become a great puncher...you’ll know it!
