so how does it the vibration motor feels? Does it feels like close to the cheap 300 dollars phones vibration motor? or similar to samsung phones? coz it seems relatively has a small motor consider this phone cost more than 900 dollars
I bought a mix 4 on DH Gate. It was supposed to be new, but when I got it, there was no sim card tray. In fact, there was a sim card stuck in the slot. I ordered 2 new sim card trays. When I got them in, sure enough, they would not go into the slot. I took it to a cell phone repair store and the technician confirmed that there was a sim card in the slot. When he extracted it, he said that the sim pins were bent and the slot was destroyed. I disputed the charge, but DH Hate says that I didn't provide enough evidence and they are releasing payment to the seller. I just got in today a new sim card socket. It appears to be attached to the sound board when you removed it. Can you please tell me the procedure for replacing that sim card socket? Does it have to be soldered? I've been dealing with this phone for over 2 months now and I want to get it working. Your help is greatly appreciated. Frank in Texas.
it is a separate part, if i am correct no need to solder. Just get the part and place it. We should have the video but seems it is not uploaded. Let me check it and upload the video.
@@DIYGeardo Thank you for the reply. I'm hoping that it doesn't have to be soldered. I also have to replace the screen on my original Mi Mix. I was trying to get a glass screen protector more adhesive by heating with a heat gun. Got it too hot and now there is a big white burn mark on the screen! My bad. The original Mi Mix is such a beautiful phone. I have 2 of them.
In my mix 4... while I'm in a call with someone the person is not listening my voice...he is just hearing wind sound not my voice... Can you tell me what should I do??
My screen on my Mix 4 is flashing on and off and if I apply pressure to the top right corner of the screen it will temporarily stop. Do you know what could be causing this and how to repair it?
first, you can try software diagnosing, ex- safe mode boot, disabling adaptive brightness, issues with third party apps etc. If not an issue with the screen (maybe a slight physical damage), is there any gap between the frame and screen on the top right?
@@DIYGeardo USA version is official? I did hear about it being released outside of China yet. But it's a bummer, for a flagship, it should have better water protection
@@dr.mindflayer Yes, first we thought it is coming with IP67 and later we found out only splash proof. I am not sure this device will available globally. Even in china it is limited supply.
@@DIYGeardo yeah, haha, I had to order in advance and wait a week to get mine. It's great overall but i was really disappointed when I learned about the IP rating. Considering mi11 ultra had a 67 if not mistaken. I am kinda curious about what they will release on 15th

How water resistant it would be in your opinion? After my last phone (note 10+), I am kinda scared to use this one around water
I would say splash proof only.
