The flickering is because you have fluorescent lighting in your room. It flickers at high rate that your eye doesn't see. The camera slows it down in slo mo and records it as a visible flicker

Your slow motion light flickering is probably diode lighting. Most diode lights have a certain fast rate they are flashing in not perceivable by eye. A camera taking timed photos can pick up the on and off. It's like looking at diode lights in a cars rear lights with a digital camera and seeing lights blinking when just by naked eyes you don't see the blinking.
Whenever I take a video using iphone 8 plus, the option to switch is gone. So I ca't switch on my face and the sorrounding in an instant. I just my iphone a few months ago and I still have a lot of things to learn.
Bought a iPhone 8 upgraded from a 6s and really was sold on the superior camera and this video pretty much helped me understand everything I didn’t understand or know so this gets a 👍🏽

Can you recommend a wireless earpiece and I dont want headsets (ruins my hair haha) but it warms up the ears and I prefer earpiece. Thank you and look forward to your recommendation.

Great overview. You missed only ONE feature! In the photo option the volume rockers not only take a photo, they will take multiple exposures if either is held down with a counter indicating the number of shots taken! This is VERY COOL! Good for fashion photography. Also would be helpful to indicate WHERE photos are stored.
I’ve been using iPhones for many years and I had no idea about these camera features. Granted newer features are there with newer iPhones (i.e. iOS) but your review has taught me quite a lot, thank you! 👍👍

The new high efficiency mode is impressive. On an iphone 6 plus 1 minute of video at 1080p HD at 60fps is approximately 175MB. But on the 8 plus is only 90MB ( 14:40 ) WOOW!

They have good camera apps with filters, and the portrait mode with it I would tell you what it's called, but I have no idea. I switched to a Galaxy Note 9 today, so the apps on here are a bit different!
Krithi rachel varghese there are many apps where you can blur a photo’s background like facetune, photoshop fix, Instagram, and B612 which are all free apps for iPhone
The flashing in the slo mo video is because That’s the result of the alternating current passing through your light devices. It’s also why city lights flicker from a distance, the speed of light is quite modest.
Every time I take a picture it’s like minor. in the picture I put my right arm up but really I put my left arm up I NEED. Help any suggestions 😭 plzzzzz

Great video. I hate this camera a little less now. My 8+ seems to lag. I take a lot of action shots. The picture I see while hitting the shutter is never the picture that I get. Miss my 6+. Now that I know, I will have to search the live mode pics to see if they're in there!

The image does download but I get a message saying that it has not downloaded. Also the file does not delete from my 8+ This all works perfectly with the 8SE Any ideas for fixing problems

I have an iPhone 8 and was confused as I could not find a 1X. Then I found that only the iPhone 8 Plus had the optical zoom function. This should have been explained in the video
"The photo might end up upside down on the computer" no not a chance unless you have portrait orientation lock on, when you rotate the phone on its side, everything switches to that orientation. Left, right, even fucking upside down 😂
I have this camera I live in Canada Rogers is my distributor for this camera I have found this camera is ghosting what that means is when you were trying to tape your message you will get three or four extra letters that come out on top of whatever you were trying to tape

Yeah you can’t flip while recording. It’s really annoying but that’s unfortunately how it is.

I think the flicker on your slo-mo is due to the lighting you're using. It has a frequency which is not compatible to use for video shooting

This is a review of the iPhone 8 and not 8 Plus. You never talk about the long focal length lens of the 8 Plus.
