"Born" is not an adjective but a past participle. That means " I was born in 1963 is මා උපද්දන ලද්දේ 1963 දී ය.

I have referred to this at the end of the video. Yes born is the past participle of 'Bear'. But 'born' is also an adjective. Look up in a good dictionary. I agree that මා උපද්දන ලද්දේ = I was born in. But that does not mean it is not equal to "මා උපන්නේ". Nobody will understand if someone taught it the former way. I have considered all these things and chosen the best possible way to teach in a way that people can easily grasp and understand.
