kinako supremacy! I'm so happy that kinako had her spotlight episode after being in the background for practically the entire season, this episode made me admire her even more, also, SHIPP WITH REN *COUGH COUGH*
This might just be my favorite episode in Love Live history. Kinako is my favorite Liella girl so it felt extremely rewarding to have such a good Kinako-episode after her being in the background the entire season. I just couldn't get enough of her today! She had awkward yet funny, cute and powerful moments. Especially the scene where she's singing and drawing on the chalkboard was amazing! (How is Kinako on her own in less than two minutes doing a better school idol musical than the literal school idol musical? lmao) And Ren is my second-favorite Liella girl so it was a nice surprise to see her have such a big role too, especially given that Ren hasn't had much screentime this season either. She was such a good friend to Kinako, their pairing was unexpected but great regardless. (Last bit of fanboying I swear but) omg Kinako looked freaking GORGEOUS during the performance! And the moment where she was hyping up the other girls to win the finale... This is everything I wanted from season 3 and more. Only thing that could make this better is Kinako and Ren getting top 2 in the next rankings. (Come on guys, make it happen!)
Loved this episode, finally getting more Kinako screen time alongside a bit more for Ren was good. Also that scene where Kinako is drawing on the blackboard was so sweet, I think I actually liked that more than the actual performance lmao even though I still enjoyed that. The tie in to the previous episode with Wien was a nice touch as well. As for the next ep, I feel like it would be a bit too quick for their final performance to happen then, but if that happens in the final episode will there be enough time for some graduation stuff? Idk lmao
Since this season was focused on new members and second years taking on the "legacy" of the thrid years, I was hoping we would get a new season or at least a movie focused on Liella's last love live, but this episode made it pretty obvious that wont be the case. I hope we get at least a move like sunshine over the rainbow just to close things off, I dont think two episodes sre enough for that, but if that doesn't happen it wouldn't surprise me, this has been a good season overall. They better not mess it up at the end.
Considering the previous groups all got movies, it would be a little surprising if this doesn't... but I guess this does have 3 seasons and they are busy with Niji movies...... Still I would lean towards it will at least one movie
