Jaheira: Oh yeah, your kids might end up being horrible monsters who are as plagued by Bhaal as you are, and end up becoming a new Orin. But you can still try, shouldn't bar yourself from love and happiness. Dark Urge: Shouldn't be a problem if I am gay. Jaheira: Or that, yes. That works too.
I'm happy that Larian decided to show respect to old players by keeping the Bhaalspawn history vague. I know they had to make choices in certain aspects but at least they don't slap your face with this Abdel. Jahiera has always been my favourite companion from the original saga and I like the way they portrayed her. Thanks for the video :)
I completely agree. But... Well, someone slipped Abdel Adrian's name into the game, despite all the effort made to avoid that name. Someone's father died before the game's release, and he was a big fan of the game (early access). A Larian employee put his character in the game as a bit of a tribute. A wizard that hunts mind flayers. UNFORTUNATELY, said Larian Employee unwittingly put Abdel Adrian's name onto a few items, retroactively making Abdel canon unless you choose to ignore that. A silly mistake made in a heartwarming tribute.
Abdel Adrian is canon now. There's nothing wrong with the series picking a canon and sticking to it, eventually you do have to do that or else the series gets a bit overcomplicated. (At the very least, they need to rule out some endings, like the Bhaal Ascension ending from BG2 and the Refuse ending from ME3.)
@@PsyrenXY A canon that WoTc themselves choose to ignore when inconvenient. Or should I point out that in those same book Minsc is a Red head who dies in the Nashkel mines? Thanks, I played 1&2 many times (circumstances don't allow me to play 3 yet) and while it's deliberately kept a bit vague hearing Jaheira talking about... Gorion's Ward like that is really touching. Also I've BPD with some Autism and Adhd and Jaheira's words about children are the most understanding and encouraging I've ever heard.
You’re very welcome! This scene was so unexpected and wholesome, and I almost cried after everyone else’s reactions to what Ghortash says. It’s really amazing how much this game made me feel.
me either, it makes it very irritating that Jaheira is so full of herself if Durge doesn't reject Bhaal even when she doesn't actually do anything to help Durge in some playthroughs. My Durge actively asked her about her experience with Bhaalspawn and she didn't want to talk about the past. Like, honey, you're fine to not help my boy, but don't be surprised when the guy who is 100% Bhaal, and only knows that rejecting him could mean torture and the end of the world if the party can't defeat the absolute without his leadership (and with the others that go with him likely murdered) feels like he has to bow.
@user-by1df I know but I prefer it for RP reasons. Also I give my Cloud Giant elixirs to my Archer build astarion with Titanstring so I don'T want to always run low. which is why when I go for strength builds I prefer using actual strength instead of relying on elixirs. If I went full meta it probably would be better but the game gives you plenty of things in order to have you not need to do that.
@user-by1df actually went for Rogue4 fighter5 ranger 3. Sharpshooter alert amd tje rest is up to my preference. tough is pretty bad on a build like this I'd rather go full offense, 24 extra hp isn'T great. pair it with elemental weapon you get from the glaive sold by roah moonglow, 2 dolor amarus 1 in each hand and the gloves that give extra force on crit. you also want to use some gear that increases your crit chance. arrows of many targets wipe encounters. melee builds while fun are os much weaker than ranged builds atm.
Compared to intentionally vicious or edgy looking bhaalspawn, beautiful and exquisite looking bhaalspawn have a special quality to them, especially in the scenes where they're dirty and covered in blood letting their raging inner pyscho out
Wow. Actually, I would like our Baldur's Gate 2 protagonist to be mentioned a little more in the game, maybe canon one Abdel Adrian, but it is still a great dialogue.
She's talking about our nature, our emotional mental makeup, not our physical characteristics. Eg someone with a dysfunctional childhood or personality disorder will pass some of that to their children, but they can also work to pass on good training and example too. Speaking from experience here.
This scene was awesome Jaheira is very likeable and wise
I killed her on the first encounter. Just seemed like a prick the whole time.
Auntie Jaheira is such a ROCK to have at our sides. Thank goodness she's there
Right???
Dang. What she said about happiness coming at a higher cost is really good. Wow.

I always love it when characters reference previous games. Also gotta ask, but what is that armor you are wearing ?
If you’re referring to my Dark Urge/Tav, that’s the Elven Chain you can get at Rivington General! I think it’s a lovely looking armour.
