Great video, fill light is what I want to use the TT350 I just ordered for. I’ll be photographing a wedding in 2 weeks, going to use the TT350 exactly like you do, hope I get the same results
I love the Godox flashes! Probably the best performance for the money that you can find. I have a couple of V860s as well as XproS triggers for several different brands. That way I can lend one out to a second shooter (regardless of which camera brand they use) and we can both use the same setup at the same time. I got the bigger ones because the recycle time is super fast ( that's pretty important if two people are using them simultaneously). Also, I got the rechargeable battery version because I'm not a caveman😎! Just kidding man! Continue being awesome!
Barron, you are awesome! You just helped someone here today because of that trigger system could save someone time and money. You should do a vid on your system. I'd watch it. LIke it. Share it. Sub to it, if that was a thing. :)
I agree with you on the battery department a hundred percent. My own thoughts are that I can’t justify spending on the v version that is 75 dollars more than the tt version. Than if you need a lion replacement battery it will bump the cost up to 44 dollars on top of the 159 that you spent on the flash itself. God forbid if it fails at an event like you said your pretty much sol.
Way to use and abuse bud. I'm sure the couple are really going to be enjoyingly your images that you were able to capture for them. Like I texted you yesterday, had my tt350 show up at the front door and looking forward to putting it to work soon. Was invited to do the company Christmas with Santa party early next month, and have some ideas using the gel kit it came with.
Thank you so much for this, it was so helpful! I've been leaning towards getting this flash for my Sony A6000 soon for a prom I'm photographing and this might've just sold me! Love your style of videos and explanation too - thanks so much again! You've got yourself a new sub :)

Thank you so much! Gonna be doing a two cam setup with a couple primes at this weekend's event in order to test my equipment and for practice. Been a few months since i moved to Fuji and haven't done a two Fuji setup like I used to with my Canons. Will use my V350 on the XT2 and the V1 on my X-H1. You're right about the AA vs Li-ion issue. For me though, I decided to move towards Li-ion in order to cut down on the number of rechargeable AA's I had to manage. They'd always take forever to charge. But that's down to personal preference. Got myself a spare battery for the V350 and will get a spare for my V1 soon. More importantly thank you for the tip about taking off the diffuser while bouncing.
That makes me so happy that you got something from the video! Remember with that white diffuser on it actually enhances ambient light a little more than straight-up Flash. Bouncing to the ceiling without that diffuser on will enhance at least one stop of light. That light has to reach the wall and still have enough power to bounce back which is why making sure the flash is zoomed in all the way is important. :)
@@jackyyao8231 when you zoom the light it’s taking all the power and concentrating it to a more narrow burst of light. Whatever you bounce the light off of will spread the light and take on the color of that surface. When the flash is in wide angle mode it is spreading the light horizontally as well as the power of the flash. Do a test with your camera on manual and you will see the differences in power from wide to zoom. 🤘😎🤘
You don't seem to use a wireless trigger , or did you forget to show us ? I just ordered the same flash and the X 1T-F wireless trigger for my Fuji cameras. Been using a Nissin i40 which is a really great little flash, but I like to hold the flash and use a trigger for better control. Great video, thanks. LarryMac
I imagine that you use f/1.4 lenses then? What type of lens would you recommend? I already own the TT350F with the xpro-3, I see your point and I was thinking about the Godox V1
Hai,,, I'm planning to have a flash for my macro photography hobby...I think the TT350 so compactble with the sony alpha 6100. What's your opinion about it, I just want to lower the iso maximum with shutter somewhere above 250 based on need....do u have any high-speed flash to suggest which is very smaller and budget friendly
8:05 you said you photograph at very high ISO. In my case, my camera doesn't work well with high ISO, the images get very grainy. In this case, this flash won't do the work? (Sorry for my English, I'm not fluent)
It’s a sender not a receiver so you can use it as an on camera flash and trigger and off camera godox flash with it. Also with it bing a very small light source the hard shadows and harsh light wouldn’t be very pleasing. I have the godox V1 and the flashpoint version of the AD200 and both are great. The flashpoint is way stronger and the price isn’t that far off from the V1. I use the V1 as my on camera flash, off camera with the dome diffuser and the LED light is extremely useful on jobs. 😁
It depends on your lighting scenario. I only use off camera flash when outside so this little flash wouldn’t be the fill light of choice. Indoors is different because you can bounce off walls making the light spread, become softer and more usable. Outdoor photography with people and mid day sun won’t give you the results you are looking for. I’ll do a video showing the results of this little flash and a client. I may be surprised by its results. 😁 Remember a small light source equals hard light unless diffused. I’ll explain in a video soon.
Thanks so much! I'm new to using flash - do I just want to use TTL if I'm shooting an event then with the Godox on the flash-mount? Any tips on learning about the various modes? Thanks for your help!
Always shoot manual on the camera and the flash when shooting an event. Program modes inside will mess with you. Manual is the best way to get what you want :)
I will be shooting my first Wedding but i do not have any experience with Flash photography. I own a Fuji (xh1) camera and while i did my research i end up with Godox TT350 or 685. Which do you prefer for a "beginner"? Thanks for the video!
@@FocusedwithGK thank you for your swift reply. It's for a friend of one of my friends. I will be the second shooter. Because there is payment involved, i do not want to mess this up. The budget for the flash is not an issue
@@Dexxter_slav ok. I shoot without a flash until I have to. Reception, indoors etc. I love second shooting because I get to do the creative stuff beyond covering the guys. Usually the main photographer hangs with the bride. It’s difficult to advise on flash settings because the venue you are in will determine whether you can bounce your flash, or if straight on is best for candids. :) get the white cap thingy that diffuses your flash. Inside reception venues I like to rock at 4,000 125 or 160th, wide open flash is manual at 16th power. Low powered flash will recycle much faster. Just keep everything on manual for your creative control and you’ll be fine. Feel free to message me on Facebook. You’ve got this! 🤘😎🤘
appreciate you commentary on the flash. My biggest question before getting this guy is will it be strong enough..... I've literally shot at that exact same venue and have a similar style where I like to bleed in ambient light. Ive also started to hate the godox v1 and the newer godox's due to easily being able to push the mode button and having to lock it. Hoping this flash will be a solid alternative and a way to still trigger my godox system w/ out using the v1
I hate my V1 as well. For some reason it changes modes on me like it’s having a seizure. Believe it or not, I’ve been using my Canon flash and it works perfectly. I only shoot on manual mode so I’m not worried about no TTL. The TT350 is way more stable than the V1. It’ll trigger your AD200 just fine. My V1 is brand new and I need to sell it. :)
I haven’t been able to get the af assist off the flash to work the setting is currently on but the af assist is only going off the camera body. Is this due to my camera not being compatible? I’m using the canon m50 thank you sir for this review.
Great video, subscribed the channel. I am hesitating between 350 and the bigger version for all around and occasional real estate photography. Do you think the 350 is powerful enough for RE? The price difference is not big, but the size does matter...
Cool video. I'm leaning towards buying this flash. I'm shooting a Fujifilm X-T1 & an X-T3 . I love them.
Most thorough practical review I've seen for this. Good job 👍
