The reason your having trouble with aiming is cause your inner elbow is facing upfront and it bends as you toss it . you want your arm to be as strait as possible so you want your knuckles facing forward as you toss the ball 😉🖤
I always use the lane balls... I'm not a pro and definitely not good enough to invest in my own ball. One time bowling, I increased my score by 20 points each game. My 3 game scores were 70, 90 and 110... I'm a terrible bowler.. LOL
Abt. 2 weeks ago, I was in last place (4th) until the last frame, I rolled a spare at the last frame then I knocked about 3 pins and jumped to second place

A pocket strike has to be spot on, good angle, or else you leave something, i give lessons and teach to hit slightly high or light, and have turned several 150-170 average bowlers into 180-200 average bowlers, some even threw perfect games from doing what i said, alot comes into play with the "pocket", including speed, angle, how the ball moves, etc. thats why i say high or light
