  • The entirely fictional Teletext service DEFEX never went off the air during the UK's digital switchover in 2012 for the simple reason that it was never on air.

Is it possible that the 'Clem Fandango' bit *might just* be a coded shoutout to our man in VHS recovery? ;)

The funny thing is, I didn't know any of you guys when I did this! I didn't even know any of the perimeters that Teletext operated in. I just scanned in a load of Teletext images from Google (probably from your website!) put them into the Amstrad CPC set-up I had at the time. I've tried to do more "real" Teletext but frankly it's like bringing a Ford Escort to a Porsche race track when I see yours and the others' work!

@@MegaWayneD Oh, I think you could easily outperform us given 60 minutes with the teletext masterclass DVD and a diet coke. You can buy that DVD for the lowlowlow price of £56.99 from my website... :P

@@illarterate Imagine what I could do with Pepsi Max Cherry?! I will say I'm going to concentrate more on the hardware side of things, certainly the "Nukefax" terminal displays I've mentioned. Going to be doing some aluminium casting very soon, watch this space/channel!
