Not only singhala language of srilanka , but malay language of Malaysia , Khyer language of combodia and indonasian language is also derived from Sanskrit .

The tune of the Sri Lankan national anthem was composed by Dr Rabindranath Tagore Nobel laureate and the author of the National anthems of India and Bangladesh Of course in the case of the three countries he had composed songs or given to tune which later became National anthems as he died in 1941
