    Nothing beats the old school. The basic fundamentals of basketball can win you a lot of games, just ask Tim Duncan.

    People don't realize how nuanced of a game pro basketball really is. The TNT guys always do a great job of breaking it down.

    Man Shaq always gets me thinking about BBQ chicken

  • @IanLEAU
    @IanLEAU 8 лет назад +34

    Shaq was right on the bump, I always hated defending bigger guys on the block because they all played the old mans game on me too. The best way to d up on that kind of position is to pull the chair on them and use their momentum against them. You soon realise that a lot of power players don't always have the necesarry balance, and it's evident in their legs. Weak foundation means BBQ chicken for the guy defending, pull the chair, go for the strip.

    • @keenenjones6651
      @keenenjones6651 7 лет назад

      IanLEAU Facts! The toughest defensive assignments I've had were guys with a strong base powerful legs and consistently kept they balance..! Once a guy tried too upper body bully me it was over used quickness got out the way and stumble

    • @yowiewowie2663

    • @СлободаИлиСмрт-у1б
      @СлободаИлиСмрт-у1б 7 лет назад +1

      IanLEAU Well I don't agree with you, you can maybe do this one or two times on me but I will change the strategy, first of all I am not gonna bump you that hard for the first time so that I could fall. First of all I wanna test you, so before the bump I am gonna make the body contact,second I will never bump you more than two or three times before attempting my shot and if you commit the two next bumps will be harder and harder. If you somehow make me fall than I can always face you up and shoot over you or go right by you just like Zbo does. There is no effective way of defense against a guy that knows his game. Zbo roasts everyone in the low post especialy teams like GSW, he roasted their asses no one could guard him...

    Imagine when Julius Randle completely masters the Old Man Game, masters the his right hand and develops a consistent jumper from mid range to the three point line. Unstoppable.

      +James Caldwell Julius Randle does play abit like Z-Bo, but he doesn't need to tbh. He's athletic. Z-Bo never was.

    • @seanim7766
      @seanim7766 8 лет назад

      +Rick Grimes i always thought chuck was overrated because it is not like he was the most dominating force on the offense or on the defense for that matter. But you are right, hustle points are not to be underestimated. #opportunities

    • @vonzuchter
      @vonzuchter 8 лет назад +10

      +sean im offensively chuck was unstoppable. defensively he was average.

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 7 лет назад +5

      Von Zuchter - exactly. Chuck was UNSTOPPABLE not only out of the block but in transition - he had an incredible handle which included things like behind the back dribbles and passing at full speed. He was an undersized PF with guard like skills as well as incredible post up skills. And of course, an incredible rebounder. In his prime, IMO, Chuck was perhaps the best offensive PF ever - and he was for a few years, the 2nd best player in the NBA next to MJ.

    This reminds me of just how gigantic shaq was. He makes Barkley look like a PG

    • @no2study
      @no2study 9 лет назад +24

      ***** That's because Barkley was really a 6'4" almost 6'5" he admitted it that he only listed and told everybody that he was 6'6" when he was playing coz it sounded better especially for his position in the court but in reality he isn't. The average height of a PG in the league right now is about 6'3" so that's why he looks like a PG beside Shaq.

    • @BellinghamJude
      @BellinghamJude 8 лет назад +12

      +PrecisionWrittens Shaq is probably the biggest player ever if you take into account height x width. He's BIG, not just tall, but BIG. But Charles, like no2study said, was undersized for a 'big man'. He has the height of an SG. But he still dominated. That's what he's known for.

    • @jokerofmorocco
      @jokerofmorocco 8 лет назад +15

      Barkley was an undersized PF

    • @Simitachi
      @Simitachi 7 лет назад +2

      Barkley was an undersized SG let alone PF.

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 7 лет назад +6

      Vincent Simonetti - undersized only in height though. In terms of mass, he was huge at 250-260 lbs. Nobody could stop him and his booty backing them down in the post.
