laura nugent I found that the longer I keep up the neat handwriting even under pressure (in class or etc), you start to be able to speed up while keeping it neat
I've written notes regularly and realized that though I exert too much effort to write them clearly at first, i get used to a neat printed handwriting even if I write quickly. Also... my paper tends to be horizontally aligned to myself ... that's how much I slant my hand when I write 😂😂

A few tips I have found works for me. 1) Slow down, think about the letter forms as you write them. Over time, muscle memory will change to embrace the your new letter forms. 2) Try to use your whole arm, not just your fingers and wrist. This will help develop fine motor control and reduce fatigue. There is also a book I have thought about getting titled, "The Art of Cursive Penmanship: A Personal Handwriting Program for Adults." I have seen it recommended quite a bit.
Well, it is not that easy if you have a very small handwriting or if your tables are to high. When i write on a big board then it is much easier to write with my arm than my wrist. I don't really have the space in my room to practice with the whole arm. Also i tend to press on my pens and pencils, it was worse when i was a child but today it is not that bad anymore. I still prefer to use a fountain pen. Those are the pens, together with pencils, with which i write the most and which i love to use. I only use a ballpoint pen for really short notes but if i use it for a longer time it tends to ruin my writing. Gel pens are great as well but sadly here in Germany we only have the 0.7 mm size nibs and not the 0.5 mm needle point. There are a few exceptions.

I'm a little late to the game, but something that helped me is tracing letters from a practice sheet. I searched for "Handwriting practice Sheets," and found a sheet of letter forms I liked, printed it, and then I put tracing paper (or thin paper) over top and traced the letters over and over. Then I tried it without tracing. I hope this helps someone. Take care, and thank you, Jet Pens, for terrific videos!
@HeroIsLoading what your teacher said to you. I got students with awful handwriting too, but I usually tell them "there's no doctors in this room, nobody's able to read your writing".
I read an article a year ago saying patients die every year because the doctors handwriting is so bad that the pharmacist gave the patients the wrong prescription and they die.
My new years resolution was to improve my crap hand righting! And I used this tutorial and it worked, before the year was even half way over!!! Thanks JetPens!!!! I love your stationary channel!!!
I also write quickly in my lectures and labs. I use medical short hand to keep up and after classes I rewrite my notes in a neat and organized format. This not only gives me a second exposure to the material, but it also allows me to have neat and clear notes to review for exams and practicals in addition to midterms and finals.
Something that have helped me for consistent handwriting is to start off writing slowly at the start of the day or lesson, and then slowly increase your speed along with your progress to keep consistency.
My main tip is for my fellow dyslexic writers out there: make sure that your spacing between words is clear, so that the individual words stand out, and change up the shapes of your letters so that they are clearly different from similar looking letters. I found that I was rotating letters so my b's, d's, p's, and q's were all mixed up, so I changed how I do the ascenders/descenders on those letters. I also took the time to figure out the best way to differentiate my vowels from one another, and found that really helped.

Forcing myself to write in cursive, and specifically with a cursive style I thought was pretty, had improved my handwriting a lot. I have to writing in cursive regularly though, otherwise I go back to my messy print.
What I find rly helps is to write the alphabet and look at what letters look weird and practice them. I thought my hand writing looked horrible till I realized that my S and Z were rly messy so I practiced them and my hand writing looks so much better already
Changing my pen has more impact on my legibility than anything else. The Pilot Juice .38 and Hi-Tec-C in .25 have completely changed my handwriting for the better.
Great! I am also an handwriting fixer and trainer both on Nelson and Cursive handwriting. The first rule I give my students is to write slowly while saying out the letter formations. With that the letters become automatic and can be remembered fast... Also, Doctors need this training more. Am working on a lab scientist's writing presently and he is doing great. I just hope he sticks to it even after the training especially while at the lab. Keep it up!
I find that smaller and more spaced out letters tend to look a lot neater and more formal. For cursive, I like to break the cardinal rule of “don’t lift the pen from the paper” and spiff it up a bit if I need it to look really nice (ex. creating bridges between two Os after writing them). It sounds crazy, but try it!
As much as I like the look of cursive and am practicing to improve mine, I still find spaced simple style print letters with no slant easier to read and is my preferred writing style for now.
I appreciate the teachings on how to expand my writing 📝 to the moon to the surface gratefulness for communicating with you guys keep on posting these adventurous videos!

I recommend the Pilot G-tec C-4 gel pen. You can get fine points like 0.3mm if you like and they are smooth and non smudgy when you do loops like e's or o's. And it has a cap that seals the gel point to keep it fresh. Also I recomment the Platinum Preppy and Platinum Plaisir for fountain pens. They are usually smooth and the big plus is they too have a snap on cap that seals the nib so the ink won't dry. This is important for nonfrequent users.

What's funny is when I started to type out my search "How to improve" it immediately had "your handwriting" as the first option. I honestly thought I'd have trouble finding a video on this topic, and yet it ends up being a popular search. *Cheers and good writing*
I think that one important thing is that, if you want to practice, use a pen that you are used to using. If there is a type of pen that you always use, for me a Pilot Frixion Ball Knock Biz, then use that. You may want to try out other pens, but practicing for the type of pen that you know you are going to use is better than practicing for a completely different pen.
I’ve finally improved my handwriting after like 5 years of trying. To make real changes you actually have to be super strict about every letter you write. For instance I used to write e’s like a sideways cursive l. And I just took that for granted like, that’s how an e is. But when I actually copied an e stroke to stroke from someone with super cute writing, I suddenly realized it was sooooo different. And it’s a subtle difference in every letter that makes or breaks your handwriting.
I’ve never had horrible handwriting bc I was taught how to write properly. I recommend doing some of those kindergarten letter practice sheets bc the ppl I notice who have bad handwriting write letters using the wrong stroke order or hold their pencil wrong. It sounds meticulous, but I think it’s super important. I’ve also noticed it’s easier to take people who hold their pen correctly more seriously. Like, if a teacher is writing on the board and they’re deathgripping the marker while writing m’s backwards I begin to doubt their credentials. Another tip: in first grade teachers used to make kids who held their pencil wrong hold a ball of clay between their palm and the pencil to open up their hand and loosen their grip.
my handwriting is so hard to read that teachers often take off points because they can’t read it even though i can read it just fine my handwriting is the equivalent of capital i and lowercase L repeating over and over again randomly
Take some time to transcribe things, class notes, song lyrics, or anything else. As you are doing that, slow down and think about the letter forms as you write them. That will build your muscle memory to embrace the improved letter forms. As the muscle memory builds, your writing speed should also increase.
Here are my tips to improve handwriting 1 choose your favourite pen 2 tilt the book or exam paper to the opposite side of your writing hand like if you write in left hand till the book to the right side and in right hand if you write tilt the book the left side in this way your handwriting will be good 3 sit comfortably 4 be relaxed 5 everyday when you are right tell to yourself that my handwriting is the best Six everyday write a paragraph for better handwriting If my tips are helpful and you want to thank me subscribe to my channel and also watch my videos Because I want to grow my channel😁🤗☺️

The time it takes for her to write one word in good handwriting I could write a paragraph in bad...
You kinda bit exaggerated there!
@@sebastianstan9655 not really. if you already have the paragraph planned out, yeah you could write it out badly in the time it takes her to write one letter.
@@enderdragyn do you mean one letter or word?
But You can read it?
Here are my tips to improve handwriting
1 choose your favourite pen
2 tilt the book or exam paper to the opposite side of your writing hand like if you write in left hand till the book to the right side and in right hand if you write tilt the book the left side in this way your handwriting will be good
3 sit comfortably
4 be relaxed
5 everyday when you are right tell to yourself that my handwriting is the best
Six everyday write a paragraph for better handwriting

Other than the "complete curricula" many cursive and calligraphy videos, offer, this looks achievable! I will follow that!
Keep it up!
My writing had improved so much. After the use of fountain pens
Do more of these an humble request!!
Im obsessed with writing! I was born in the 80s and was taught in the 90s to write cursive! I am so gifted & thankful that I can write and beautifully! Im always told I have beautiful handwriting and it makes me feel like 1 million dollars! Its a shame they took that course out of schools in most states. I don't know what these poor children will do if these technical devices blow up.... At least i can still write and i value that so deeply!!! Thanks for the vid! And by the way one of my tips is get BICpens they r the bomb....💪Im a waitress so writing is like a addiction!😊
4:24 this hand writing is beautiful 😍👏👏👏
I wish i could write like that
You guys can write like that with a lot of training for a week or two. I tried and now I have that handwriting. You can watch a lot of this type of videos just to see the other's handwriting. Trust me these two easy steps helps a lot! :)
@@tsonkavelikova4528 I have created my one style of writing. It's close to this one

Wasn't sure this would actually be of any help but it really has some great tips. There were a few things shown in this video that I was doing that were wrong. Awesome video definitely learnt a lot, definitely subbing
I’m right-handed and I always write with my notebook or paper angled to the left! It really helps to write faster and neat. Also, I love it because I’m used to write slow, so in school it’s really difficult to keep up.☺️
my family says my handwriting looks like grass and they don't like it
but my friends say it's like a doctor's handwriting and it's unique

i read somewhere on the internet about how your handwriting relates to your personality. so i tried writing while thinking how my friend behaves/her personality. i then compared it to my normal handwriting and they were surprisingly different
This is exactly the opposite of how cursive was taught to us in German School haha!
I'm glad I refused to use cursive, that saved me in the end.
Now THATS something you don’t hear everyday
Very valuable tips. When I write, I feel it's not only my fingers are moving..but my brain activates like a pen or pencil... It's rhythm of brain , when match with pencil or pen..... Resultant ... Beautiful scripts are coming to the paper

What's funny is when I started to type out my search "How to improve" it immediately had "your handwriting" as the first option. I honestly thought I'd have trouble finding a video on this topic, and yet it ends up being a popular search.
*Cheers and good writing*

Lol I legit almost died from laughing, and now my side hurts...XD
I have dysgraphia which is a writing disorder so I have a really hard time with writing. I think I’ll try some of these tips
I wonder how many people ACTUALLY have a writing disorder, as opposed to just never being taught proper penmanship?
Starting today will update along the way to see if this works 🤔
Uh where them updates💀

wow I didn't even think about these small details. I just tried and it helped dramatically!
Please more examples for #4.
And how are you supposed to do this while professors are lecturing?
yall make it look so easy 😭
Thank you thank you thank you so much guys!
This video really improved my writings!
I hope your channel be famous!
my handwriting is so hard to read that teachers often take off points because they can’t read it even though i can read it just fine
my handwriting is the equivalent of capital i and lowercase L repeating over and over again randomly
Take some time to transcribe things, class notes, song lyrics, or anything else. As you are doing that, slow down and think about the letter forms as you write them. That will build your muscle memory to embrace the improved letter forms. As the muscle memory builds, your writing speed should also increase.

Yeah, what really helps me is keeping a cursive handwriting chart as my screen saver or tucked into my bullet journal because I don’t really take the time to practice.
