Disagree. I'm disappointed maybe in 1 out of 20 purchases. San Martin, Seestern, Pagani, Merkur, Baltany, Sugess, Phylida, Escapement Time, Addiesdive, Guanquin, APNUONR, all have exceded my expectations. In some cases like San Martin, quality is actually superb.
I discovered today they have launched a V3 version with the correct hour hand size so I pulled the triger on, no need to wait the V37. Loved your humour too and suscribed.
Had to hit the Sub button. An excellent review wrapped in plenty of sinister, yet snappy British remarks is just my cup of tea... Actually, I don't really drink tea, because I'm from Norway. Which is kinda like Scotland, but more wealthy, sober, and optimistic, and with slightly less rain and bagpipes, and you never see a bloke here with his bollocks hanging on the loose. I absolutely hate it here. Not because of the free-hanging mansacks, but the sobriety and optimism is pissing me off... Thanks, I'm already looking forward to your next review. Cheers!
I bought the same version before seeing your review. Spot on really, it's a surprisingly nice looking & well built watch. Next to it my Tactical Frog 300t looks like it came out of the Vostok factory...ugh. I actually like the clunky thickness although the 'small hand' on the hour seems like they're copying the Doxa 300t which is made with the smaller hour hand on purpose. Good job Seestern.
Great review! I've had my eye on this for over a year. After discounts on the most recent 11-11 sale, I got the most recent version for $120USD. $175 and up, there's better deals from San Martin and others, but for the price I got, this is an outstanding value watch. Interestingly, since Seestern began selling this model, Doxa has revived the 600t and it is now for sale. Aside from a better swiss movement, I would be willing to bet money that the Seestern is at least equal in finishing, if not the clasp.
I received the blue dial version of the 600t a few days ago and I must say, for a little over $100 dollars, I'm impressed. Very nice build quality. I love the bracelet and the thickness of the case. Plenty of micro adjust and on my arm, it just looks fantastic. Yes, the hour hand may seem a little small, but it's fine for me. Great job Seestern.
Thanks, mate! I think anything I say about politics, whether it's about the left or even Boris Johnson, rubs people up the wrong way - not unlike Johnson himself.
Awesome review mate, your scripts always make me laugh. I do like these but I'm still waiting on them to do the 200, then I'll jump in feet first. As for this of course its got the issues it does, but I think its very solid for the price point.
Well, it's not a ripoff but to the naked eye it appears reasonably well specified and well made. But it don't look at a tool watch and expect to find the Mono Lisa.
I couldn't agree more with you about the movement, why not an ST2130 or PT5000? I lost interest in affordable Swiss watches when the switched to the Powermatic 80, I'd rather have the high beat rate and smoother sweep than the power reserve.
Mate German for wave is "Welle" why don't you just ask? 😅 I like this watch, but I prefer the stainless steel bezel insert. Albeit it has one major shortcoming. On version 1 the used the same handset they used on the 300. Alledgedly there is a version 2 around with a slightly more beefy hour hand, although I was hardly able to see it. Maybe version 3 will have the even wider hour hand it shold have, even wider than the minute hand. Nice review mate! By the way, I believe the real 600t is just als thick...
Yes, it's a cracker, I received my blue 'Caribbean' a few days ago and I absolutely love it, I also have a '300T' which is a very different case shape and fit, that's great too.
I saw the Sugess ST19 on sale so I grabbed that. Saw the new Lapis Lazuli SN0129 and grabbed that too. Then I saw this...argh...had to grab a copy of the Shark Hunter colorway. Oh and got the blue PD-1778 (Patek Calatrava homage) too. Too many good sales on great watches. Before this last week, I was doing well in my watch rehab for over a year 😂. Between these, my PRS516 and my GM2100C-5A Casioak, I'm set for a while.
The new v3 is super with the fixed hour hand new end links and a lumed centred date wheel. The lumed date acts. As a 3 o'clock marker as its obviously not dawned on you..
nice review, man. got mine on wrist right now and agree with your review. it's quite a nice piece. and FWIW, my calipers read 13.3-13.4mm thickness. mine is a V2...so maybe they changed something else with the case? but, doesn't look like it.
Cheers, mate! Just FYI, I’m very, very glad you’re back on here and doing your stuff again. Honestly, just re-measured in case and I’m getting just over 14mm. I hope it does mean something has changed! I think it’s great except those little gripes - I’d love a slimmer profile, though.
Oof, this one is so tempting. Def don't see a Doxa in the cards anytime soon. I have a pretty similar wrist size, so glad to see this one isn't a dealbreaker, too. Hmm. Gonna have to ponder. Enjoying your vids! Keep it up, dawg.
The hour hand was from the 300T homage, so they just used them. Pleased they have given it a bigger one! The lume real estate on the hour hand is a negative.

I’ve had a few people mention the thickness I measured and have since measured it again - I’m getting 14.1mm on new callipers. Maybe they’ve slimmed down the V2 🤷🏼♂️I know why they’d advertise it as thinner, obviously, but I’m not getting 13.5mm on mine.
Now that is a beauty. That thickness though, even with that movement they should have done a bit better. It does look like it wears a bit thinner. Thank you for the video.

Hey there "no face voice". Stop promoting these AliExpress junk watches (even if there's no affiliate link) and do the watch enthusiasts a favour by pointing them towards well known brands and not Seestern for heaven's sake. for 200 quids, you can buy a Seiko, Citizen, Orient, Casio... Now these are real watch makers with real history. Don't be lured by the great specs and great finishing. Tell everyone better wear a Seiko proudly that is a well known brand, with a shitty bracelet and hardlex crystal and a non hacking movement than a "Seestern" a Chinese shame brand no one knows about and will never sell if you want to change your collection. Fair enough, but I thought they were pretty bipartisan comments. Both Labour and the Conservatives dislike Boris Johnson, and I don't think there's anything overtly political to referring to the size of someone's hands.
@@LumePip Bipartisan doesn't really matter. When you refer to any politician negatively, that's a political comment that can and will be taken as being detrimental. By doing so, you risk alienating either half your audience if you're partisan, and your complete audience if you do it bipartisanly.
I think San Martin make some decent watches, but I'm a bit fussy and there's only a couple that I like enough to buy. The quality is ok, they look good, but they're not faultless. I've only handled one of their more expensive watches, which was almost really nice but unfortunately that model is afflicted with a bizarre placement of the date aperture. Seestern make a solid basic diver at least their Doxa homages, I'd compare them to Seiko 5 SKX but with a vintage feel and superior build and the same highly dependable movement, I'd rather have the NH35A over the unknown (to me) PT5000. Incedentlu the Doxa use the Swiss made equivalent of that movement and if Seestern did have the PT5000 it would be a simple upgrade to replace it with a Swiss version. Personally the slightly smoother seconds hand sweep is nice but that's about the only noticeable difference except for additional service costs. The Seestern Sub 600T is a solid buy, offering a build quality and finish that would be good on a watch at double the price and more. The V2 & V3 addressed the undersized hour hand.
I think Seestern and San Martin are pretty close in reality. The Seesterns currently are a bit better value for money, but if they put a Swiss movement in one of these, I’d have it in a heartbeat. That said, if San Martin did some of their models with Swiss movements (I know they do, but not the ones I’m drawn to currently), I’d snap them up, too. With everything going on, it gets more and more appealing to spend a little and get a lot, despite what all the pearl-clutching homage haters might say. There’s a place for all of them; the genuinely unobtainable and unaffordable APs and what not, and these demonstrably not as high quality but excellent homages. 👌🏻👌🏻I also had a Seiko 5 for a while and I don’t think it got close to the quality of the San Martins and Seesterns, FWIW

Not a tachymeter - it's a non-decompression chart - Doxa have got a very useful write up - uk.doxawatches.com//blogs/doxa-b-log/code-name-non-deco
